just thought i'd say that got the bike back with the cobra slip-ons (i posted couple days ago on 1300 site) and got moved into new place so gonna try and get a few rides in b4 it gets cold(er). hope to meet up with some of ya'll soon. might have different days/nights i can ride as i'm job hunting at the moment, most likely gonna make a lot less but at this stage of life want more satisfaction out of job than what i'm getting now so gonna just go 4 it. the cobras sound pretty good too, not quite as deep as i someday want but they bark pretty well when ya give it just a bit of throttle

Hey Chris,
Glad to hear all's finally well again - with the scoot, at least. I'm hoping we can get together at least one more time before the season's done. I'd love to hear what that beast sounds like now.
So you're job-hunting, too? PM me - I've been pounding the pavement all over the state all summer long. Maybe I have a few contacts that can help.

I got hit with a plant closure after working there 30 years. I was 48 at the time. Looking for new work at that stage of life is the pits but there is work out there, but good work is hard to find. Keep pounding and networking with others and I'm sure something will turn up. Chris I've met you before and wish you the best, I'm sure you'll do fine.

thanks guys, ya know i have a good paying job but i'm bored with it, it's the same thing i've done for 20 years so looking for something different. thinking maybe to get on at foxwoods or mohegan in an entry level job then go to thier school to learn how to be a dealer (the card or table type, not the other *L*). fortunately my SO makes great money and said she'll help out for awhile if come up short on bills. she knows the car will go before the "x" *L*, what a great lady!!! she's the one that actually talked me into looking for another cause the job i have now i have weds/thurs as days off every week and work eves so we really have no time together. we figure at this point in life it's really better to enjoy life a bit. i have some of my retirement from the Navy (that which isn't going for child support which will be over in a few years) so i don't really need to make alot for now though i've heard the dealers do pretty well.
on another note this next saturday there's going to be a run to help a coworker of Deb's that is a single mother and who's less than a year old daughter had to have a kidney taken out and has to go thru chemo. the mother has to be on TDI while taking care of her daughter so a nurse where they work who rides set up a run to help them out. i'll get the details and post it. it probably isn't going to be real organized but is for a good cause (Deb and i were watching the baby every friday night for the mom until the baby got sick and she's a cute little thing).
