There is a benefit ride for a little girl less than a year old who has Wilms tumor. She had a kidney removed and has to go through Chemo. The mother is a single mom who works in health care but has to be out of work on TDI while her daughter goes through the chemo. The rides registration starts at 11am at the Moose Lodge on Rt. 91 in Westerly and start ride at 12. Cost is $10, will ride somewhere then back to the Moose Lodge at 4pm for food,a band and a raffle. not sure how organized because i think this is the 1st time the person has tried to organize something like this. I know this young lady and her daughter as my girlfriend and I used to babysit every Friday night and the little girl is just so cute. Anyone who just wants to go for a ride for a good cause just show up. Thanks.

i'm only a mile from the lodge, i'm right on 91 almost across from Ginger's gas so i'll just go straight there but will ride with the other "x"s once it starts. hope the weather holds but if it goes in the rain i'll be there anyways as i know them. also get to see other "x" riders i hope that i've already met and haven't met yet.
oh, only thing about the McD meeting place is it's hard to get out of there (sign at exit says right turn only) and ya really need to go left, better place with more room might be Sunrise market/radio shack parking lot right across the street. just a suggestion, maybe i will meet there after all.

a good meeting place for the southern riders would be the McD's at Dunn's Corner next to WalMart, easier to get out of than further down. good suggestion Poison. :)

Looks like a go for Saturday - weather is looking good (so far).
I'll be at the W.G. Dunkin donuts 9:30 - 9:45 8)

sounds good, hope some others who haven't posted show. i'll be waiting at the McD's at Dunn's Corner until 11am in case anyone from south shows up.

Come on folks, so far myself and poison are the only one's posting that they're going. i know this isn't a big run with escorts or anything but it is for a very good cause, matter of fact Deb and I have the pleasure tonight of having Lilly for the night, her mother says she's handling the chemo pretty well.
