:D My son friend was at the house tonight on a 2002 Kawasaki Mean streak he is thinking about buying. He wanted me to check it out the bike sat and felt small to me compaired to my Retro. Overall a nice looking bike. He wanted me to drive it so I took her out and gave her all she had well it ain't no X. I was impressed with the bike however it a little slower taking off but has a lot of power once she gets rolling. I ran the bike hard up the road and back it handled very well no surprizes. The only thing I truely disliked was the foward controls it positions the rear brake pedal so that you have to remove your foot from the peg to reach it. I told him that was a safety hazzard, but could be fixed by relocating the link rod. The bike has 8,600 miles on it and the guys asking $8,000.00 I told him I thought that was a little high. He has been looking on e-bay for an X. I told him to go test drive X before desides to buy. Told him to look at a C model as it's more sporty looking and slightly lighter than the Retro.

My 1300 C, with forward controls is the BOMB....The seat is my only complaint. I have sat on the mean streak and mine is far more comfortable overall. I have let a couple buddies ride mine and they have all agreed. In short.......the "C" is the best, unless your old then Retro is the way to go....lol (Had to CC...lol)

Hey, at least we can go further on a tank of gas. Besides, I'll take my "rocker" any day for long distance runs!
