All;
I have to be up in the North Atlanta area in Mid-November for a week (I'll be up in the Windy Hill (Marietta) area).
Since I'm just a bit south of there (about 550 miles),I'm considering riding up, instead of flying.
The question is: How is the weather up there by Mid-November?
Are you all still riding, or has the weather gotten to cold & wet by then?
Thanks! I'd like to ride up, but not if the weather is just cold & rainy...

Well...it's already a tad cold. I was out yesterday and it was kinda chilly. Wasn't too bad, but by November...well...it's only gonna get colder. Sometimes we have an Indian summer, but that's not a guarantee. To give you some idea, it's 12:38 PM here now and it's 54 degrees outside. I'll refrain from telling you yea or ney, but it has been known to get pretty cold up here once in a while. If you come, bring your cold weather gear if you've got any.

Hmm.. Yeah, that's kind of how I remembered it.
I spent about 3 years living in Marietta, but that was a while ago, and I didn't remember when it got around to winter up there. I'll have to give this some more thought. I'd like to ride up, but not if I'm going to freeze. lol.
I guess I'll play it by ear for a little bit, and watch the weather.
Besides, if I ride up, I've got the wife talked into some new accessories:
Cobra Fatty Highway bars, and Kury highway pegs
Throttle lock
Tourmaster Sysbar Luggage.
If I fly, I don't get the new parts. ;0

Last year I only kept her covered about 3 weeks out of the year, so I don't know what to tell you?! In my opinion, it doesn't usually get that cold until late January, early February.
November is prime riding season, imho...

I have to agree with Jack. November is, IMHO, prime riding weather in North Georgia and the Atlanta area. Of course provided you have the proper gear. Probably don't want to come up hear in your tank top and flip flops! I say go ahead and order all the new extras, get them installed, and then tune into the weather channel the week before your trip. :) :)

Yep ride every chance you get!!!!!! I'm not far from Marietta either and I'm in the area a lot for work. 770-941-2209.
Later Frog or Philip (either will work)

I'd say just watch the weather. It can be anywhere from 30 to 70 in November and on back to back days! I've not gone a whole month without riding, any given year, it'll just depend.
