Ok - my wife is looking for a leather jacket and I need to have the pockets on an old vintage one replaced.

We've been to:
White Cotton Leather Co. in Dalton
Boat & Cycle (west of Rome on GA20)

Neither place had anything that fit her very well and looked good nor could they repair my old jacket.

Can anyone suggest any good leather / leather repair shops in the NW Georgia area?

Regards,

Jeremy

Jeremy,
I know this is far from you, but I had my chaps re-fitted at a shop here, they did an outstanding job, and I see no reason why they wouldnt do a good job on your jacket repair. Their name is "Tricks of the Trade" in Great Falls, Va, you can find their number on whitepages.com. You can always fedex your jacket to them.

Can't vouch for them but I have info on a repair shop in Acworth, Panman's Stitches N Leather (770)419-1836. Just did a search and found that info for you. Otherwise for purchasing leather I would recommend the shop in downtown Cherokee,NC. Good prices and good quality products. That's a good reason to do a ride and see the leaves too this time of year.

Dave,

Thanks for the info. That phone has been disconnected but their close enough, I may just roll by there to see if maybe they're still around but just changed the phone.

Have you checked on line at porkysleather.com I ordered a jacket and chaps at a great price! They are in Ala. and work great with their custumers. I got a heavy weight biker jacket with zip out liner and the jacket in vented for $120 and chaps that are lined for $70.00. The jacket was no tight and sent it back and 2 days later I had one that fits great!

You won't beat the prices at the shop in the middle of Helen on the main drag! As for repairs, my best advice is to find a top notch shoe repair shop with an older gentleman with thick glasses! :D Those guys are craftsmen when it comes to heavy stitching!!

Call Ann at Cloths that Fit People, she redid my dads jacket that he had when he was young and did a grest job.She replaced the liner but put the old tag back in the jacket. She is at most of the local shows sewing on patchs and making the also. The shop is in Powder Springs at her house.I have looked and can't find her card but I'm sure they are in the book.

I will agree with POGOGOLF on the shop in Helen. I started to buy a jacket in Daytona last weekend but I waited untill I got home Monday. Bought one in Helen and the price was better than what I saw at Biketoberfest. They have a 50% off sale going on right now. There are 2 shops, the on facing the main drag has better deals but the one right behind it next to the public parking has good prices and a large selection.
