Thanks to Lamonster :beer3: we now have our own board, so if your located in Oz get on and add your bit!!
I'm located bayside in Brisbane and own a bronze 1300 with sissy bar, KDrive bags, Kury iso grips, tank strap and some mighty loud Cobra pipes to give my baby a bit more presence on the road. Have only had her for a month and have more bits on order (clear lenses and shield) to make her even seXier.
Would be great to meet as many X riders in Oz as possible - maybe organise a few rides and talk all things X.
Happy riding and remember - summer is coming!! :mcrider:

Guys, guys!!
We must arrange a get together/ride to somewhere from Brisbane sometime soon although I'm out for the next few weeks due to holidays (..without the X). Perhaps a ride up or down the coast?? Would be good to meet and compare. Any suggestions??

Hey guys, good to see a few more X's getting around Brisbane.
I'm also around the bayside area, Vic Pt to be exact, we'll need to get together this summer for a ride, but you'll need to wait until I get back from Russia, where I'm currently working until xmas
I ride a black 1800C X, (the only colour), well the only colour it came in at the time.

Where do you guys prefer to ride. I'd like to go down to Binna Burra or Up to Bunya Mountains/Crows Nest way.
If you wlike the Northern suggestion we could met at Ambrosia's Coffee Shop at Albany Creek and head out the back way through Samford.
I don't know the southside that well so I'll leave the suggestion as to a meeting place to others.

Bunya Mtns sounds good - never ridden out there. I've done a couple of rides down thru Mt Lindsay, on to Lismore for lunch then home via the motorway. Nice!!

Pitty I'm in Port Douglas, north queensland or I'd hook up to go for rides with ya's also. The only thing I would like to see is a little more ground clearance as I keep scrapping my pegs! Anyway blokes its 1.30 am my misus is over due for our 2nd rug rat, and I'd better get sum sleep. Look forward to reading more about ya's reagrds Dan (Bugger) 8)

Hi all,
Took the new VTX for a 1700 K ride last week end on the annual Snowy Ride.
What an awesome ride, fabulous scenery and great company with 2400 riders participating.
Honda put up a $20000 grand prize drawn at thredbo village in the snow.
1degree, as they pulled the name out of the hat. I,d forgotten just how cold my fingers could get riding in the snow and sleet .
Most of the weekend was sunny but windy.
The big 1800 lapped up the k,s and did not miss a beat.
I love it.
Anyone interested in next years ride it will be on the weekend of the 26th November. Its a fund raiser for research into kids cancer cures.
People from all over the country came and it gets bigger evry year.
Thats all folks.

Hi all
Just discovered this site.
Had my 1300 since May 2003 (it's the 2002 model). Been to Geelong and back and have clocked up about 32K so far. :D
I'm with the Ulysses club and just enjoy riding anywhere.

G'day Poida and welcome!! Got any pics of your X?? Sounds like you've done a few miles - have you still got your stock seat?? If so, how do you find it on long rides??

Thanks Beaker, yes the beast is pretty stock standard, I made my own sissy-bar and luggage rack (got a bloke whose a welder to do it). Fitted the screen from the 1100 Sabre (cost $250 compared with the $1,200 odd honda wanted for the genuine article) Also have a classic tow-bar fitted (after the Geelong trip realised I would need a trailer if I was to take the cook with me anywhere).
When on the long trips the butt gets abit numb after about 600k, but by then I'm usually ready to call it a day.
Haven't worked out how to get a picture on yet, but working on it. I'll add it to my profile.

Hi Mates!
My son in law is an Aussie from Melbourne. He married my daughter and lives here in USA some 30 miles West of Salt Lake City, Utah (2002 Winter Olympics) in a smaller city named Tooele. They have a beautiful daughter together and a son from a previous marriage.
Just thought I'd drop by and say hi.
If anyone in Australia, needs anything in USA or comes by our way, please feel free to stop by.
