Tim and I are thinking about taking a road trip to the west coast of FL but want to take some cool secondary routes. Anyone have any suggestions??

This is an excellent route sampling scenic fun two lane roads from Jacksonville to Crystal River or Brooksville area. It's the ride I was trying to get going for early November. It will look a little sloppy on here but its on excel spreadsheet if you have an email you would like it sent to.
The layout is the route you're on followed by the route you are going to followed by the approximate mileage.

Either. The less complex the better but we are game for just about anything. Tim has the day off so we thought we would break in his bike!!

Highway 26 or 24 out of Gainsville to 98/27 along the west coast. Went to Steinhatchie, want to go to Cedar key next. It was a realy nice ride for a day ride. Gainsville was tough, football game and outdoor concert.

Glad Tim is back in the area. I know you are too. I know the panhandle fairly well but not the west coast. Growing up, I did Day trips from my home in Bainbridge Ga to the St. George Island area. I really love this area. HWY 98 has lots of views and small authentic fishing villages to see. St marks to destin is a great area to see. Not a FAST TRIP, but a fun one none the less.

Hey Mike... good to hear from you. Looks like we are considering Hwy 90 and he has a route mapped to St. Marks. I have this goofy goal of seeing as many Florida lighthouses as possible while we are here. Just thought you might like to see an updated photo of Tim and his ride. His seat comes in today and he put on his sissy bar on Monday. Most of the other components I added while he was deployed... including the leather jacket and pants... the pants were more for me...
