Well now that winter is finally here, will the Maine riders board go silent? We, claim to be too busy riding in the available riding months and the holidays are here, but will We stay in touch over the winter with things like" What I'm doing to my X this winter" or "What I'd like to do to my X or "What I've done to my X already How About it?

I feel kinda funny being the first to reply since I don't take delivery of my new 1300R until February.

When it gets closer to riding season I'm going to contact Hal and order the Ultimate seat and maybe a windshield.

It's tough waiting until the new bike arrives - right now I keep making "vroom...vroom" sounds while I'm sitting here at my keyboard.

Will it ever be warm again?

John

SSSnake it's nice to hear from you again. I'll be lurking around and checking out the board like usual. I'm always checking the Maine board. This winters Mods are going to be few and far between for me. I added Risers, Memphis Fats, removable saddle bags (the cheap kind) Kury Iso Grips and opened up those darn pipes some more this past year. The misses and I also bought a house and built a two car garage this fall. It been damn busy around here so I'm looking to spend more time checking the board more often. I dont think I'll ever be a posting mad man like some of the guys but I'm alway checking things out. Are you down south again for the winter or are you hanging around here for a while?

John you think it's bad now :( wait until you get the bike home in your garage and you can do is sit on it and let it idle and all you can think about is :mcrider: :mcrider: :mcrider: I love it in Maine but there are some definite drawbacks to living here.

I'm almost tempted to take mine out of storage for an hour and go for a quick ride. Maybe if all the ice will melt and not be so nasty I can do it.
