8) Gimme a holla! I'd love to ride around up there. I'm in Brookhaven on an 04' retro. What's the best local ride up around that way? Come down this way and we can ride over through red bluff. That's my favorite so far. We've got a great fish house right off of 51 highway. The steaks are great. 8)

I am also from Madison. Have had my X for almost 2 years and have covered most of the state. I ride a Candy Red 1800 C and maybe once a month stop by Ratliff's Ferry on a Sunday afternoon. Over the next 2 weeks or so I have to adjust my valves, change the oil and install new clutch springs, so I am not riding much. 3 weeks ago rode the loop to Philadelphia, Meridian and then home as a shake down ride after installing my Christmas goodies and 2 weeks ago we rode over to Bastrup LA and back. Hope to meet you some day, in fact I may have already because I have meet several X riders at Ratliff's Ferry. The Strawberry Feastful will be here in about a month and then the spring bike rallies that are all over the place. There is also a bike show in Memphis Feb 5 I plan to attend.

The Strawberry festival sounds great. What kind of oil do you use. Your clutch shouldnt be worn out yet. I handle "AMSOIL" as you see and I use it in everything. My car (97 Taurus) has 218k on it and all I have ever done is change filters and top off the oil. I also use it in my VTX and lawnmower, LOL. The L/M is over 8 yrs old and doesnt have any problems. It is a cheap 88 $ job.

I made a small mistake, the Strawberry Festival is in April not Feb in Ponchataula LA. In the past we would ride down in the morning catch the parade and site see then eat lunch and then ride over the the MS coast and goof and ride back latter that night or Sunday. We have had a good time. I run Honda HP4 syn blend without moley. My clutch is not bad but I am one of those that if someone says that there bike has a problem then I make the fix on mine. I do think it is slipping just a little when I shift hard into 4 or 5. It should be a easy fix so I said why not.
Thanks for the info.

Yes the weather does suck. hope I can ride to Memphis next week. Looks like the easy rider bike show is going to be good. I am a chicken plucker for Tyson Foods in Carthage. I used to work out of Jackson But they consolidated the Jackson and Carthage plants. They plant in Carthage is the largest (based on production numbers) and most automated poultry plant in the US. They gave me a raise to cover my gas so it is not too bad.
