Your going with Cobra pipes now? I thought you were gonna do a Sideburner??

I was really leaning towards the sideburners, but was a little skeptical about them being loud around other riders. Don't want to have guys behind me getting blasted just so I can feel cool. I contacted manwhor, since he runs Cobra's, and they're my favorite looking pipes; he said I would love em. So . . .

Ah...
Well, I guess you didn't notice what Pipes were on mine. The cobra angled slashcuts, same as Brad (manwhore) Lemme know if you wanna come over and hear them before you buy...
And your right about the burners. They are LOUD.... which is kewl..... for about a week. Which is reason #2 I took mine off.

OK this is my plan. I going to ride to Wendover tomorrow (Sunday) for the buffet and also test my new gears on a long run. I will leave around 11:00 or 11:30. My family will be going as well in a chase car so we can all enjoy the buffet.
Come all and bring your bikes and include your families in the cars. X-Riders family outing would be fun.
Chime in if you would like to go.

I'm gonna have to pass tomorrow; my son's flying home from Ideeho for the holidays. I wish I'd have noticed your Cobra's - I do remember hearing someone's Roadhouse pipes that I thought sounded real nice. What were the negatives on your Sideburners? Why did you go with the Cobra's? Ya happy with them? Any regrets? I talked to a guy with Sideburners on his RoyalStar, and he loves them, so I was actually kinda leaning back toward them. Duh! Kevin (kxb44) got his skins back from paint - beautiful!

Just checked the weather on the net. It lied yesterday, said it was going to be 48 and sunny, now it says 33 and foggy. I think I'm am going to have to cancel my plans for Wendover  . But hopfully there is always another day.

If your heading out West today, I hope you have fog lights, studded tires, lots of body armor and all insurances paid up and current with no deductible.

Terry and I were out there yesterday, we went to Steadmans and looked around.
Yes it was foggy, we were going to go to Grantsville but it was real bad there.

The downside on the sideburners for me where:
1. Mine had messed up chrome
2. I think they were too loud... I have to live by my neighbors...
3. I HATE the way the look from the rear (they hang a MILE off the side of the bike)
4. I just really liked the Cobra angled slashcuts.
If you want to come hear the Cobras, drop me a line.
You can't get the whole look from this photo, but you can kind of see how far they hang out the side... almost 10" in my recolection. Look at how far away from the rear wheel they are. It looks worse from the rear. Now If you had saddlebags, it might not look so obvious.
