Brisbane X'ers - Lets Ride!!

Guys,

Seeing as though there are so many of us located in Brisbane, hows about we get together for a ride. I will start the ball rolling and ask first up who is interested??? Deciding on when will probably be the most difficult, especially around the Xmas/New Year period so anyone who is interested make a suggestion for a date. If you would also like to suggest where to ride please feel free.

Personally I prefer the option that Python suggested in about early November - Bunya Mountain way - and would be happy to meet at Ambrosia's Coffee Shop at Albany Creek and head out the back way through Samford. My prefered date would be the weekend of the 8th/9th January.

I'm in but since I've put the new pipes on I really need to get a fuel manager.

I have order one from HDL and hopefully will be here early new year so I would rather wait until after its installed as the beast is running like a pig at low end.

Unfortunately Snappa nothing further eventuated from this post although I did end up doing a ride with Irish (1800) a little later in the year and I did meet up with Tukster (1800) to give him a part - I am still keen to meet and ride with any of you guys and I think that riding on a regular basis is a great idea.

Anyone have any ideas on where you would like to ride?? There are lots of options but I think the first thing is to meet and do a day ride. I live out Cleveland way and don't really care which way we ride but this time of year would probably be best to stick close to the coast.

I know that Rocko is up on the Sunshine Coast somewhere so maybe we could ride north and meet up with him - what do you think??

I will make myself available whenever it suits others so please make a suggestion if your interested but would like to try to do it before the end of January.

Once we have made a decision I will try to contact all X riders in Brisbane who are registered on VTXOA either by email, PM or mobile.

I do know 2 other X riders (both 1300's) that may be interested but they are not registered on VTXOA so I will let them know once we decide.

I am keen to have somebody to go riding with. Live at Albany Creek and if it is going to happen we are going to have to make the effort. If you look at the post dates you will see it petered out though lack of interest/motivation.

Having said that let me also state for the record since the last post I have contracted a nasty form of arthritis so these days I ride when I can so don't take offense if something is arranged and I can't come. It won't be because I don't want to.

Hey Angry Rocko!!

I was wondering how long it would take for Lamont to contact you regarding your massage act - they don't seem to like stuff like :shock: that where as we take it for granted over here :D but then again there are quite a few lady riders that might not like it. Did they delete your Rocko profile because of it??

Anyway, we will be riding on the 21st of Jan which is a Saturday and we will be heading up to the Sunshine Coast to meet with you somewhere. We will need to know where to meet you or you could join us at Burpengary and ride back up with us. Let us know if you can make it - would be good to see a few of us riding.

I know we will definitely have 2 bikes - snappa and me. Think I will start a new thread so everyone can see it and we can do a count.
