I am looking for a dealer in New England that will let me test ride a VTX 1300 and 1800 the same day. If you know of a dealer that allows test rides please pass on the info to me here.
Thanks,

Dale

Yes, Excalibur Honda/Motorsports in Plainfield, Ct will let you test drive. You can also find other dealers in the New England area by googling VTX dealers in New England. They will list with a small icon telling whether they allow test drives. That's how I found Excalibur in Plainfield. They are very courteous. Two salesmen I talked with were Adam and Mike. You will find the web site at Excaliburpowersports.com.

Concord Motorcycle shop in Concord NH offered to let me test ride one when the weather warmed up in about March..I bought my 04 Neo in Feb without a test ride because I wanted to make sure I got one before the Neos were gone. All the dealers I went to said they were only geetting a limted amount of Neos.

I think I heard for some reason Mass won't allow test rides but I would call our sponsor dealership I know they have both on the floor and might be able to help. Click on link below.

Carl ( MassX) recently test drove a 05 Gold Wing from Naults in Windham N.H. If they did that, maybe the X would be allowed too.

If you can wait that long. Americade has demo rides from most manufacturers, even Honda. Great way to check out various bikes. Americade will be 2nd week of June at Lake George, NY

When I was looking both Weymouth Honda (Weymouth, MA) and Bettencourts (W.Bridgewater) gave test rides. It's allowed in MA. You will need a license though. I doubt they will let one off the lot to someone with just a permit.

ettencourts allows test drives on new bikes if you have had your license for two years and have an endorsement on your license. I have no idea how they know if you've had your license for two years, but if you took the motorcycle safety class, you could bring along your card from that.
