At a local tavern last nite Irode my 04 X to bike nite ...salesman from harley dealership here in Conyers asked me about my bike ...what kind it was etc,etc I couldnt believe he had never heard of it....anyway after a long discussion about bikes and choices of bikes out there ..he asked to come in and tae any Harley for a test ride....it seems like a slap in the faceto me...Ilike my vtx but I am not sure about finding out the big hoopla around Harley....Maybe Iwill sell and just drive my car again..way to much conflict of interest and there seems to be no escape.....any comments??

Go and test drive one ! It will give you a greater appreciation for your Honda. I have driven a bunch of them but haven't seen one I'd trade for.

Yeah ...you guys might be rightit just seems crazy to keep def3nding my choice of motorcycle..Imean everything he said abou Honda was somewhat positive then he would follow up with the classic "But" ...are harley's really that good because the world seems to revolve around this belief...again Iwas approved for any harley i would like to buy just couldnt see the advantage besides being adopted n to family...its like honda is a misfit toy.

Okay?? Where you work, are there no other bikers? I work for a larger company. There are the Harley guys and then all the other bikes out there. We are always going at each other. Most of it is just good clean fun. You have to take a little ribbing and remember; he sell's what he feels is the better bike. Just laugh it off and let it roll off your back.

I ridden Honda's for the last about 40 years, I've worked on all the other bikes as well. Bikes are about choice, they all fit a need that you want to express, the choice you make is what or how you want to express your self. So there is no right or wrong there is just choice.
