For me, it looks like one night stay over again. Feels like Friday morning leave and Saturday PM back. Staying in Clairmont.

I'm going but I'll be there Thurdsday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Coming home Sunday. Wanna do the whole enchilada. Staying at the Microtel Inn on 441 in Leesburg. Made reservations back in September.

ok, so you all talked me into going as well. except for, i asked friends of mine and now there are 10 of us. (RV included)
rooms are scarce everywhere (and i have a few hotel chain connections), but i did get 3 rooms at the Days Inn in Wild Wood about 10-12 miles from leesburg. there is also a RV campground for those that need them (3 Flags).
going up friday and returning on sunday

Just confirmed my room. HoJo's in Clermont. Phone if needed is: 352-429-9033. Fifty Nine dollars per night, up 10 from last year.
Good security and nice people last year. LAMA stayed there so between that and the hotel next to it, all was good!
About 25 mins from Leesburg.

We'll try, I will be there Thursday night so I can help organize on Friday. Charcoal, grill, hot dogs, :eat2: cooler, ice, did somebody say beer? :beer2: . Simple and easy - people make the party. :lol: When the event gets closer we'll know who's coming - it should be easy.

Hmmmm...I think I'll still be in bed sleeping....recooperating from the Saddle Sore 1000. I'm considering it though. Have to contact an old high school buddy of mine who lives there...maybe I can slum off him for a couple of nights. I promise...this guy is only half as crazy as my buddy in Sebring.
Bill, what route will you take up there? If I go, I'll ride with you.

that is correct. at this time there are 7-8 of us (2-3 i'm sure will back out)
two of the bikes will be in the RV behind us. we are staying in Wildwood (10 miles from Leesburg) at the Days Inn and KOA
depending on timing, no problem with all riding up together. (pottie break is easy with an RV traveling along). there is only one girl that is not a happy camper in the early morning. the rest of us are by 6am.

I'm in. How did the bonfire work out last week? I had fanasties of driving up for that and coming back the next day - but too many irons in the fire on the domestic front to get away. :cry:

Ok, I'm in ( did anyone think I wasn't? ). I'm ok with manning the grill, The basics are cool but let me think about what else we can gen up. Anyone want to donate a smoker grill or barrell type??? I'm thinking pork butt and/or beef rounds. Burgers, chicken, dogs are good too.
This time, I'm suggesting 2 things: some confirmation on how many and a suggested donation of like $5.00 to cover the food, and grill supplies.

glad to see you made it back from daytona safely.
to find the campgrounds, i did a search of wildwood, fl and leesburg bikeweek. can't remember which one they were on. one is a KOA campground so it will be easy to find. that is where our RV will be.
let me know what you come up with and when you are going up.

I Have More than enough room for U to camp or even set up a RV :D :D

OK now kids, I just confirmed my lodging needs for the trip. We are staying at some clients of my wifes, somewhere in Leesburg on a big piece of property with a guest house right on a lake. It sounds real nice, I hope that I can leave to enjoy the fest.
