how did the install go?
It was cold, but it actually was'nt to bad until I found that the rt. side was higher then the lt. then I had to back track to see if there was something I did wrong both damper rod's were exact in measurement. so when I lowered it for the third time I noticed that the rt. side damper could be pushed down a little so I did that and it brought it closer to flush when the fork cap's were checked. and the tube's at the bottom was the same height so I put back together and bounced it back and fourth and it seemed o.k.
I guess i'll find out when I get a chance to ride it. jack

That is normal. When I took off my front wheel the right side was 1/4" to 1/2" longer than the left. Just push it up and slide the axil through.
did it feel like there was more pressure on the side that was longer?
according to bareass there's a chance of problem's down the road!!!!!!!!!!!
how long have you been rideing it like that?

mine were off with the exact measurement
so i adjusted the left nut
you set the left and right locknuts correctly (per our measurements) then both fork caps should bottom out at the exact same time. If there is a difference between the 2 then raise the forks again and fine tune the left fork until both caps bottom out on the forks at the same time. If you don't do this it can make removal and installation of the front tire difficult in the future as well as some other potential problems
