Great tech session Sunday. Wilsondude and I got the progressives in with the help of Drywallman and his son, Drywallman Jr. A whole lot of fun and I must say there is a noticeabel difference in the ride. We talked about maybe doing a three day weekend trip to Southern Utah and the Grand Canyon sometime in April if anyone is interested.

I hope you like the differents it makes, I know that mine made a big difference in the bumps.
Always more than happy to help out when I can.
I'm all for the ride to the south when ever we go, already cleared it with the better half.

Ditto on the help, Lewis. Your son seems cool, and looks a lot like his Dad. Thanks a lot for the help; I'm really anxious to put some more miles on the new springs. What a nice improvement! Think I'll order the knock off plates for a desmog. If I give you a couple of weeks off, think you could help me? I'll come to you if you want.

Sure mark not a problem, order (Kevin for Mark) the block off plates from HDL and let me know when they come in. It doesn't take to long to do the desmog. We could do it at my place or even at Kevin's, doesn't matter to me, either way I just have helping out.

Hey Kevin, wanna order the block off plates for me? Think I'll just wait on the VTX patch until I see if we're gonna get a Utah riders club patch. Thanx! You know, you should probably desmog too - everyone's doin' it!

My bike runs like a scalded ape and I haven't done desmog.
What are the positives and negatives of desmog? Don't you have to remove gas tank to desmog? If so, I'd probably check/adjust valves at the same time. I'd be interested, but don't know if it's worth all the effort.
Wonder if some day, State or Feds require desmog equipment on our bikes? Than what? Just a thought.
Yes, I'd be interested in a trip down South in April. Let me know when, I have some guys from Vegas who would probably come up and ride with us.

Yes, the tank must come off for the desmog and for the valves to be checked. Delaying on the valves checks could be a bad thing, just because it runs good now does mean you don't have to check them. Valves tend to tighten up through time and could lead to grave damage to you X's motor.
You don't through away all your smog stuff (Pair Valve, assorted hoses and ect.) you put them away for a rainny day. You may need to put it back on if you sell it or something like you said a crack down on smog stuff on bikes.
