Well the momentum just keeps on going.

For those of you that saw Wilbur’s post, Florida VTX Riders has the fastest growing membership. I personally want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of it. I hope all of you come away with new friends and a story or two to tell.

CHANGES IN THE FLORIDA VTX RIDERS EFFECTIVE 02/01/05!

The state will now have 4 Coordinators all but one is changing. Look to see which is closest to you and drop them an email to let them know you’re interested in riding and hearing what’s going on in your area……most of all GET INVOLVED!!

South Florida Coordinator

Bill Cleary
FatherX
Coral Springs, Florida
father_x@myacc.net

Bill is really into his bike and there is probably more stuff on his bike than any bike I’ve seen. To the point that HDL once posted a picture of his bike daring viewers to find anything missing. He’s definitely an “outside the box thinker”. Bill’s philosophy has never been “you can’t do that” but rather “how can we do that”. When you see his bike, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Bill is very active in South Florida’s bike scene to the point of building and maintaining a website of Bike Nights and events.

Central Florida Coordinator

Kevin Kuiper
Kevin Kuiper
Eustis, Florida
vtxretro@earthlink.net

Kevin has been involved with the VTX as long as I can remember. Always offering his help, knowledge, and even his home to anyone that needed or wanted it. A very rare guy that isn’t worried about what he will get out of the people he comes in contact with. Kevin and his wife have graciously offered to let people camp out on his Home’s 5 acres every Bike Week and Biketoberfest for the past several years that I know about. Kevin has been very active in Central Florida to the point of hosting his own rides and tech sessions which made him a natural to become a Coordinator.

For those who know or knew Mendee, her life has taken a couple of twists and simply takes up more of her time than when she signed on as Central Florida Coordinator. I personally want to thank her for the job she did while she was able, she will be missed. That’s not to say that you won’t still see her around from time to time and she will even be helping out with some of the events in the area. Having Kevin step in has her blessing because like all Coordinators, she wants the members to have fun getting together and she feels as if she was letting them down by not being able to do as much as she would like to have. THANKS MENDEE

Northwest Florida Coordinator

Chad Wilkey
Show03VTX
Crestview, Florida
Show03VTX@cox.net

I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting or riding with Chad. My impression after speaking with him on the phone and E-Mailing back and forth is that he wants to see Northwest Florida grow to be the best area we have yet. Chad has quite a challenge ahead of him since there wasn’t a group there until he stepped up to start one. Those in his area need to jump in, get together, and help Chad fire up Northwest Florida!

Florida Coordinator

David Allton
VTHeXer
Pembroke Pines, Florida
vthexer@bellsouth.net

I’ve been involved with motorcycling for about 35 years and the VTX community has been the best, bar none. I’ll be a little more in the background than some of you may have seen, helping the Coordinators with whatever they need to make the Florida VTX Riders presence as strong as the membership allows it to be. I want everyone to still feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns they may have. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the time I’ve been involved in Florida VTX Riders and look forward to being around to watch it grow to be even better.

Hang on for the ride everybody; it’s going to be a great year!
