With Child's Heimlich Maneuver I just saved my son's life.

I have been trained in CPR and Children's CPR for years and never had to use it till about 20 minutes ago. I just saved my son's life. My wife calls my name screaming Carson is choking, he was indeed choking blue in the face, gagging. ETC. ( He turned two years old in November) I picked him up and preformed the Child's Heimlich Maneuver and out poped the piece of candy. Color returned to his face and he went right back to playing with his friends( Of course after a very brief cry). Please each of you all go get CPR trained. Please share any oof your CPR stories, remember all it takes is to save but one life to make it worth it, God Bless each and every one of you all, keep it safe to ride yet another day.

I heard that CM. Glad to hear your son is OK (thanks to you). My job requires me to be certified in CPR and First Aid. Had to use my skills, knowledge or whatever you want to call it only once when my wife got choked, it made up in that one time for all the training I have to go thru. Just proves you can NEVER know too much. :wink:
