Skinny,
Onfyr and I have a home in Utah, but he works and lives 2 weeks out of a month in beautiful Wamsutter Wyo. We are both Wyo. natives, Worland, and TenSleep, so we will probably check in once in awhile.

I invited the Wyoming riders to come and take part in the Colorado board and only had one rider take me up on it. I even made a riders picture post with no takers.
Have a good time with the new message board and stop by the Colorado site some time and say Hi. We do like to see that our northern brothers are not snowed in or blown away. Latter Yosam

You guys are welcome to ride with us Utah VTXers, too. I like WYO a lot and expect to be up your way this summer. Hope to meet some of you sometime. :D
Heck, I just found out, from Yosam today, that we even had a section on this board. Everytime I see someone on a VTX around here I tell them to get on the VTXOA or the Colorado VTXers site. As you can see, not too many of them do. I usually just kind of hang out on the General topic or 1800 tech board myself. I used to only hang out on the 1300 site until I think I got about every mod I could for the bike, at the time. Hopefully some of the other Wyoming-ites will see this and we can put something together. Thanks.

I have read on the Utah board, but I have no Colorado board listed on here. I am only 20 miles from Montana, so would be nice to find some from more north as well.

I grew up in WY, and have been going back every summer. Nice to see the nation's least populous state has its own X Riders group!
I lived in Casper two separate times for a total of ten years between 1979 and 1993, and I love Wyoming. I'm considering moving back to Casper in the next year or so if I can figure out how to afford to buy a home. I didn't own a motorcycle when I lived in Wyoming, but now I ride an X, and I'm eager to put the X through its paces on the Wyoming highways . I'd love to take the X up and down Casper Mountain on the Casper Mountain Road. I'd like to ride west from Casper out through Dubois, via the Pavillion cut-off and over Towgotee Pass and through Yellowstone Park where I used to love to camp. I'd like to drive southwest from Casper through Lander and South Pass to Rock Springs where I once worked for several months. I'd like to drive north from Casper through Buffalo and Sheridan and then west through the Big Horns to Greybull and then down through Worland to Thermopolis where I'd take a nice dip in one of the hot springs pools, and then south, through the beautiful Wind River Canyon to Shoshoni where I'd stop at the drug store for a malt. I'd like to ride south through Shirley Basin and Medicine Bow to Laramie and then head west through the Medicine Bow range to Saratoga where I'd take another dip in a hot springs pool. I'd like to open up the X on 80 between Laramie and Rock Springs, and on some of the back highways like the highway between Douglas and Gillette, and I'd like to work my way out of Lander on Sinks Canyon road and make my way into the back country of the Wind River Range. Oh yeah ... I hope to return to Wyoming, soon!!

I live in Casper, and just joines this site today. I bought my 1300C three weeks ago tomorrow, and have put 680 miles on it so far. The Casper mt road is nice, but still snowy. One of my favorite rides around here is the back road between Alcova and Pathfinder, makes for a nice ride with plenty of curves, just wish it were longer.
I look foward to meeting some fellow WY VTX'ers.

MY NAME IS CRAIG, I HAVE AN ILLUSION BLUE VTX 1800. YOU HAVE PROBABLY SEEN ME AROUND CASPER OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS. I HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU.......
Craig, I've got a buddy that is a fireman up there named Chris. I believe he has a Orange 1800 Retro. You guys are close enough you should get involved with the Colorado VTX ride-in over the 4th of July. I think I need to drag Chris to Sturgis too. Maybe I'll try and make it up there this summer.

Hello Israel. It's good to se more Casper people here. I took the X to Thermop today, nice ride and she got 45 mpg opn the way there, didn't check it on the way back. Hopefully I'll see you around. I was going to go to the thing in CO, but work dictates I'm not going to go. Have fun and ride safe.

I went to Rock Springs on my X this weekend and it was great. On the way back it was really windy. I only got about 40mpg. Hope to see you around.

Just joined and am trying to figure this site out. Is there a Wyoming X club? I'm in Southern Wyoming and have a couple friends that have X's. Some are interested in a club but we don't know anything about one here.

Our group in New Orleans is a loose association of X riders that found there way together through the board. Now we meet on the last Saturday each month for breakfast and a ride. During the month we "decide" a meeting spot and a direction to ride.
There is no organization about it. Someone will throw out an idea on the board, if it strikes anyone's fancy, it will get informally seconded and so on...
Visit the Louisisna board and read some of our threads, most of them are about meeting and rides.
The reason I visit here, last summer I worked and rode in Wyoming. No shortage of directions to travel there. What a beautiful state.
