A group of us from coastal Ga, are planning a trip to the Y.H. area in may :D . There may be 4-6 bikes. We would love to meet up with any of you local folks to put some faces with some names 8). Some are planning on being there Friday and some, like me, will be dragging in early Sat. am. :(
If you are up to it and would like to show us the high spots (pun intended), let me know.

May be able to hook up with ya on the way up or down.Baseball season will be going on at that time and I will be on the field on Sat mornings.Keep in touch and I will try to meet yall on the way back home.

Ya'll seem to plan all the good stuff when Im not going to be around, however Im not going to complain this time, Ill be in Barbados for a week starting the 28th and hopefully not thinking too much about anything stateside...

Have fun and be safe, Helen is an awesome place to visit, especially if you like German food!

I am just a few miles from Helen, would enjoy seeing a few more X's on the twisties up here. Let me know where and when and lets ride the mountains. The only Hot Spot or as close as you can get is Paul's on the river. Good food and the only Bar around.

I was in Helen yesterday 3/18 but in a cage.Me and the Mrs rode up for our anniversary,just for the day to look around and visit the shops.Enjoyed it still,like it in a bike better.

Been off the board for a while, but yes the trip is still on. We are looking at May 28 and 29 to ride. We will need Monday to drive back home. :cry:
Memorial Day weekend. The In-laws have a cabin in Young Harris. We are going to trip up Friday night (about 8 hrs) so we will get a late start on Saturday, but we will ride that day!...........Sunday we will be ready to go everywhere :D

Ok the gig is on. Looks like 4 bikes and 6 folks right now.
We will be ready to ride Sat afternoon. One of our group is a Spurs fanatic and I do mean FANATIC! She M-U-S-T see the game. Is there a sports bar or something where she can sit and scream? We want to see the hills Saturday and Sunday. We will have to return home on Monday.

We just got back from an exciting weekend up there. I was absolutely stunned at the beauty of the Cherohala Skyway. The Dragon had cops placed every 1/4 mile or so all the way down to the sweepers by the lake. We high tailed it outta there (we heard they wrote one guy up for 34 MPH in a 30!!!) and rode all the surrounding roads and saw only two patrolmen!!!

I cannot make it back there this coming weekend but will definitely be heading back there in 3 or 4 weeks. I also hope to go to the Hoot in July.
