Hey I got some ISO grips and a Hypercharger. the Question is how do I get the old grips off and not ruin anything :?: I think I can handle the hypercharger cause it has good directions  . what should I get next a good Highway bar or a fuel control upgrade :?: the instructions say that a fuel control is recomended. but a highway bar is what I want. I am also going to do the Desmog since I will have the tank off and the seat off. I had HDL send the bank off kit aswell.
thanks for all of your help! this board is awesome! :)

Jet, congrats on getting new toys for your scoot. The grips are a piece of cake to get off. Just get a long screw driver and some WD-40. Take the end caps off your grips and wedge the screw driver up inside your grip. Next spray WD-40 all around the inside of the grip and woila...it will slip right off. As far as highway bar...I'd go with that first. You can mount your pegs and ride around in comfort while you're saving up for your PC. Also, there are a few of us around that will help you with your desmog. Drywallman helped me with mine. We should try to get a few guys together for a tech session. I look forward to meeting you soon. Kirby

Block off plates are in the box and ready to install. thanks for the instructions on getting old grips off. AWESOME!!! I wanted the highway bars anyways, I was just wondering if my bike will suffer performance wise by putting a hypercharger on and NOT getting a fuel manager. that is good news. Highway bars are on their way. :D As for the help I would appreciate some help on the Desmog. got the tank and seat off already. anything I should look out for in that aspect? I work night shift so on my days off, and I can't sleep, I tinker around the house and in the garage. This is fun but the wife is a little suprised at the cost of this stuff. She thought I would be finished with the bike with the $1000 she gave me (minus the $350 I used to fix the daughters car and other things that she didn't take into consideration). Oh well guess that is what women do. more stuff and money comming though!!

Jet, I guess you're starting to figure out that the real expense isn't the price of the motorcycle, but everything that comes after the purchase :!:

Ok at a stopping point (its cold out there). I need a few things that I didn't know I needed like a full set of "metric" tools!! LOL. This weekend is busy though for me and my family though. might just wait to Desmog later I wanna see this hypercharger on. So let me know when the next tech session is and I'll be there. off to spend more cash.

 Staired at it, and then staired at the directions, then staired at it again, couldn't sleep, got a heater and all the tools I needed, Staired at it again, then staired at the directions again, went inside and printed a copy of Desmog instructions. BAM!!! it was all done before I knew it. I installed the hypercharger and did the Desmog. I was looking for other things to do, trying to look for broken things, cleaning things off, checking tire pressure. Man I need a vacation. the weather needs to get better!!! I wanna ride!!! thanks for all the input and advise you all gave me. I do LOVE the hypercharger, that thing is cool. let me know when the next ride is. even if I work I will try to make it.
