Been kicking around the idea of putting together a little motorcycle event in Southern Utah for this summer. Before I get too far into the idea I thought I'd run it by you folks to see how hot the exhaust gets on the idea.

Of course this would all depend on how many people are interested, how many would show up, and what would be expected. If we kept it just VTX or VTX and other Honda riders then it would remain small. If we open it to everyone then it might draw a good crowd.

Here's what I'm thinking so far ...

1. Hold it in Cedar City in mid-June. Weather is usually pretty nice about that time (if the Hot Air from St George has calmed down a little ... ).

2. Maybe make a donation to the Southern Utah University "Woman's Center" or another good cause associated with the campus. That way we can feel good about having so much fun. 8)

3. Set up a spot in the city park (middle of main street, nice spot with lots of room).

4. Poker Run down through Zion on Saturday.

5. If there is enough interest set up a Bike Show and Shine late Saturday.

These next couple items will depend on the crowd.

1. Invite local bands to play Saturday night at the park.

2. Have a Bar-B-Q for the bikers.

What a great idea. I just happen to know a certan local band (brother is guitarist) that might do that gig. They are pretty good to. Want to see them they play, They are at the whisky(4500s state SLC) on friday nights. "Helter Skelter"<<(stupid) is the name, used to be "Tommy had a vision". that is if you would want that band. I would come even if they don't. keep us updated.

I'd be there! Some of us are planning a ride down that way in April. Planning to rent a Harley for my son that is attending SUU and make a run to the Grand Canyon. Lots of good places to ride in Southern Utah.

Doc, an event in Southern Utah sounds nice. I'll bet we could get a good size group from the Wasatch front to attend. :D

I know my Dad (1800 C) and me (1800 R) would both be interested in Cedar City in June!

sound great? I also know of a few band that would love to attend? Some of the bands are from here and others form Idaho. What kind of tunes would you like? 8) Bob Marlly or  AC/DC
