New Orleans/Hammond area riders

Hi fellow VTX riders! I am from Alexandria area, but will be in Hammond the 15-16 on business, was wondering if there are any get togethers ?etc. :beer3: on Tuesday or Wednesday, Hammond, New Orleans area etc. Am planning on trailering my 1800, :blkc: and riding with my girlfriend, weather permitting :rain1: . Maybe meet and greet if anyone is free! :beer2:

Wednesday night we usually meet at Bare's house and ride over to the Pit Stop for bike night. You all are more than welcome to ride.

8) Hey Diamond back I live in Hammond! I'm in the middle of a turnaround at work (18 in a row so far), so can't make it to Pit on Wed. May be able to meet you guys for a beer or dinner on Tues. And maybe take a little ride! :beer3:

South of Hammond by about 3 or 4 miles lies HWY 22. If you head west on 22 you will have a great ride turn ,on US 61 south.Stay on 61till Old HWY 51/I-55, come back on old US 51 . This is the ride I make when I have 2 or 3 hours to kill. It is a great ride thru a cypress swamp with a few twisties thrown in for fun.
The Pit Wednesday night is the place to be. About 30 miles to Laplace down Old 51 ,then another ~15 to the PIt from there. Ride in with Bareass and the bunch. Nice to rumble in with 10 to 15 X's. I won't make it this Wednesday,but may catch you later.I'm sure Bareass will give you directions.

I am lurking on the board. I do not have my VTX yet, I am riding a Honda VFR. I live about 5 miles from Hammond. If you are interested
(and the weather is good) you ride with me to the Pit Stop Wednesday.
It is pretty awesome. "Usually" 600 or more bikes.
