I ahve been looking at Memphis shades Fats I am not sure which Size. 17, 19, or 21. Except for wilson most of us are probably close to the same height.I'm 6'1", but long in the torso. Just ordered 24.5" tall plastic for my Hondaline w/s, as it's not tall enough as is. If you're around 6" I wouldn't consider anything shorter than the 21".

Hey mike, mine is a fats as well and it's a 21 inch. I used to be 5'10" untill I started to shrink. Old age does that, and having a bad back I guess does'nt help either. The windshield top line is just under my line of site so I can see over it but yet not get all the wind and bugs. I don't like being inside the windscreen because, I like to see everything without having to be blocked by a bunch of bugs and a dirty screen.

I'm 5'11" and have a 17" Memphis Slim. Wind hits right on the top of my helmet and I don't feel like I'm moving half the Northern Hemisphere's Atmosphere as I'm cruising down the road. The top Salseman at Honda of Salt Lake, Barry, had a Silver VTX 1800C with the same Winshield, that's where I got the idea of a Memphis Slim 17''. Seventeen inches is the biggest Memphis Slim they make. Looks nice on the bike and works perfectly. I actually think my bike slices through the air better with the windshield on than off.

If I were to go to a Memphis Fat, I'd go the 19" myself.

You should be looking over the Windshield not through the Windshield.

My last bike was a Shadow Spirit 1100, which had a 21 Memphis Fat on it, when I bought it. I was looking through the windshield and I did NOT like it. Moving to much air at high speeds and in a rain storm, good luck trying to see.

Probably the only negative on a slim Windshield is when it is cold, my hands get more wind than with a fats. Thus your hands tend to get a little colder when it's really cold.

I think the least amount of windshield the better the bike looks and peforms.

Just my $.02 Good Luck.

Here's a better picture of my bike with the Windshield on it. Hard to see the Windshield, because the Slim Windshield isn't that big. :)
