Annual KC ride - April 9th - first bigone of the season

I am planning the second annual KC Earyriders show ride. This year it is April 9th still at the Bartel Arena in downtown KC. Last year only 3 of us made it - that was a bummer. Let's get some more. Here would be the plan:

Omaha and north/east riders meet me at Rosenblat and head down I29
Lincoln and south riders meet us in Iowa at the Sapp Brothers outside Neb City.

We ride en masse to KC and attend the show. It lasts into the evening so we can set a pretty convenient time to go.

Post show - I have an apartment - 2 BR and a couch and lots of floor space. I can easily accomodate 6-8 people - you will have to draw straws or something to decide who sleeps where. I can add another 3 out on the deck if you like to sleep outside.

Leave Sunday back to Omaha - would NOT do HWY 75 like last year - we froze our asses off and it took an hour longer than it should have.

If I'm still here I'll go this year. Last year I had a 2 week old baby that I just couldn't bear leaving my wife to handle alone (especially since she was recovering from a C-section) This year, no new arrivals :wink:

It will be handy with Andy have the apartment too!

I should be able to go as well. My parents live out there, so I wouldn't need a place to stay, but I would love to ride down, and attend the show with the group.

Great - this is shaping up to be a great NE ride. Weather permitting of course. :shock:

As an added bonus - they serve BEER!!!! and have the PURRRFECT Angles dance team - very hot pabes and some rock and rollers playing.

It may also be another Biker Build Off voting event. Chance to get your mug on the tele!

i would love to ride down with you guys i went last year but drove my suv down with some none riding friends it was fun and yes the angels were hot even if i had to sneek peeks when i could (wife was there) im not sure yet i might have to go out of town for other reasons that wekend but ill try to make it and get ahold of tiger to let him know ill be joining the ride

Guys - this is really a lot of fun. There were only 3 of us but with 3 VTX's in the parking lot at my apt we drew attention. To me it is like a very mini sturgis - best part is riding - even though last year we froze our asses off.

Having a bunch of guys hanging in the apt afterwards was like college days - pretty funny - I think I actually fell asleep on the floor I was so tired.

Hey Andy,

Wendy might be following us down there in the truck so I'm not totally sure yet if I'll be staying at your apt. If she goes we'll probably grab a hotel since we'll have the little one with us. Still up in the air though. I didn't know she wanted to go until last night after she read this thread..

BTW - we might hook the trailer up if she does so we could have support if we have a break down (not likely with all Hondas but ya never know.. )

I may be making achange to this plan - go down and back the same day versus spending the night. I need to fly out to San Francisco on Monday and need to spend some time with the kids.

I will also be going. A good friend of mine lives in Rock Port, Mo. He works at Brownville's Cooper Nuclear Plant. A bunch of guys from his work are riding down together. (I will be the only VTXer. Ain't life sweet! :D :D :D :D :D ) I am supposed to meet them in Rock Port on Saturday and ride down. We are going to stay in Westport and come back on Sunday. It sounds like there may be 8-12 bikes in this group. I don't have any details yet, but it would be nice if we could meet up and ride together to KC. If not, it would be nice to touch base and meet some of you guys once we all get down there.
