a quick search reveals you have not successfully protected your legal rights to the above caption. before an infringement suit may be filed in court, registration is necessary for any work of U. S. origin. however, you are correct in that if someone other than the entities mentioned wanted to use the caption, they would need to secure their legal rights. that is, of course, if you are the original author, have used it in a public forum, etc.

I really hate to see someone trying to control something that should be shared between fellow riders. Plus I agree with NastyX, I doubt you are the creator of the orginal art work. I can tell you that I am the owner of the orginal art work for the California VTX riders Logo and I have gone out of my way to SHARE this art with any other state or rider that would like to use it for the benefit of promoting the mighty VTX. Here is what it would look like for Florida and what how many other states are using it without any strings

This is what its all about Dave, not controlling people and things.

If anyone is interested in using this orginal art - feel free to use it with out any strings. Its from one VTX rider to all the other VTX riders. Plus, if anyone needs the art modified or a high res file send me a PM.

As close of a community as I have found the X riders across the country to be I have never seen where one tried to control use of such.

I agree with above post. Looks like VTHeXer may be the only one sporting this logo. A team of 1, tha ought to go real far.
