there was a chrome shop in dallas. It was on old cartersville road just at the edge of town.
I'm guessing its still there. It would be hard to move. Kinda like a junk yard around it.
I had some auto parts chromed there several yrs ago.
don't know the name.

Guys,
Still need some help here. I've heard from several folks who know of this chrome shop in Dallas...any idea on a phone # or address for them? Also - Cartersville or Acworth would be in my range.
There is also an good place in Austell Ga. for most of our parts(Small) it is called Peach State Platers (I think) I will look as soon as I can ane tell youy for sure.
Ride safe
BTW it is close to my house so if they woke out let me know and I can get the stuff from you to them.

Thanks Ken...called them, but they've got a 3 week turnaround time. I was really hoping to be done with this project before then.
By the way, Frog, if you have any info on that place, I'd be grateful. If the place you're thinking of turns out to be Forsters, then I've already called them and they said they're not doing any plating for the next few months.
Thanks guys...still looking.

Ok...finally found the Dallas chrome shop. Geeze...it's almost like they didn't WANT to be found
Anyway, got a hold of them and took my homemade bracket down there just a little while ago. Should be ready to pick up by Friday.
If anyone needs the number for them - it's 770-445-8926
The address is 109 Old Cartersville Rd. There's no sign and it's a real dump, but it looks like they stay busy in there.
I think the name is Peach State Plating in Austell. They are related to the guys that own Dallas Plating. From what I have heard don't let them do anything like wheels or large stuff.I had a friend take some stuff over from a Sears Allstate he was restoring and they nickled everything,he had to gring it off the inside of the rim and the points cover and such to get it all to seal properly.Good luck they should do a good job on brackets and thing of that nature.

Ken - let me know if you're over this way and we'll hook up for lunch sometime.
Frog - Well buddy..we'll know by Friday if they do good work or not. :D Seriously, I don't see how they could really screw this up, but I'll post a photo if you like of the finished results so ya'll can see for yourselves. BTW, Ann fixed that jacket for me that I was asking you about a while back. She did an awesome job with it and it's held up well. Thanks for the advice!
Good I'm glad it worked out,she does mst of the patchs and syuff for our MC. clou.

Well...got the bracket back yesterday. Looks better than the Kuryakyn part. They did a nice job with it and got it back a day early. It was in for chrome for a total of 74 hours. Not bad turnaround eh? On top of that, the bill was $25, but since he didn't have change for my two twenties, he just handed one of them back to me and said we'll call it even.
Donnie earned my business...I'll be a repeat customer.

Hey, I talked to I think Donnie today. Hope to get mine over there Mon or Tue. Let me know if either day works for you and what time would be good.
