Yeah, the wife and I went about noon today and boy was it packed. We saw a pretty good variety of bikes there this year. All and all I believe it was much better than last year.

I went today as well. Pretty good show. More bikes than I had expected, and it was completely packed. Worth the trip.

was there most the day today. got mine registered last night. also joined ABATE. 20 bucks for a year. they are working on getting rid of the helmet law right now. well i be there tomorrow again maybe see ya there.

It seemed like it was bigger and better this year. I missed the flat track races. What were they ALL about?? I saw a handfull of X's there.

Ok, its not like the Easyrider show coming up in April. Remember it's Febuary in Nebraska, when a cloudy 40 degree day sounds like a good excuse to go riding. :?

I don't have any pic's of the flat track racing but I saw a couple of small dirt bikes agressivelly running around a dirt track. (it was good enterainment for 10 minuets) I can see how anyone could miss this, look for a small sign on a standard exit door in the S.E. corner of the East room (it's north off the booth with the Neon signs)

I'm new to motorcycle shows--this was the first one I'd been to--so I didn't really know what to expect. I saw lots of Harleys and not much of anything else.

I guess I thought I'd see more Hondas--saw a couple of X's and a few GoldWings, but not much more that I could recognize. What explains the overwhelming number of Harleys at the show versus the underwhelming number of Hondas?

Are there just fewer of us who purchase Hondas, or fewer Honda owners who customize their bikes, or fewer Honda owners who enter shows like the Abate show?

I think it's just that there are fewer Honda guys that are as proud of their rides as the Harley guys are. A HD owner will put a near stock HD in a show because of the pride they have in their ride. A lot of metric owners don't have that kind of pride for whatever reason. But I can tell you, if I had my bike in one piece I would have been proud to enter mine for sure!

I don't know about anyone else, but I am proud of my ride:!: Why don't we put a little bike show together ourselves..... Get a sponsor for the location...... (Maybe the outlet mall at Gretna?) Bet we could get some interest......
