So anyone going to the Honda Hoot or the Homecoming VTX Ride. I will be going to Honda Hoot for sure. Pre registered and rooms booked. Would like to be able to make the Marysville OH Homecoming VTX Ride but getting some objections from wife. She will not ride and hates when I go off on long rides. Anyone else?

We are going back to Colorado instead...have been to the Hoot and it's more of a "once you've been once..." kinda thingy. Colorado, on the other hand is SPECIAL!! JMHO.

Ken,

Put me down for a MAYBE on the Hoot. A lot of variables involved, but if I can...I'll be going.

I've already got the OK to go to the Honda Homecoming. I have family from Michigan that will be meeting me there.
I have the same predicament about the wife not liking to ride (even more-so now since we have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 11 week old boys) and she doesn't like me to go on ride that keeps me out over night. (she wories about me :D )
Since I got the OK to go to the Homecoming I didn't push it by asking to go to the Honda Hoot. Maybe I'll do the hoot next year.

we are going on a Out-West trip end of July. Never been before. How about a recommendation on route within Colorado.

I've only got a pass for 10 days.

I am planning on going to the Homecoming. I booked a room back in December. Not sure yet if the wife will be going or not.

Am putting together possible plan for the Hoot. Girlfriend is going to the honda riders course this weekend. Yup she wants to ride Cool for me. I am thinking the ride to Knoxville would be a good first, distance ride for her. So it has possibilities

We are going to be leaving Tue morning of the 21st from Winder, going 129 through the Dragon into Knoxville that way. Anyone welcome to meet up with us if your interested in that route. Will have time pinned down for that morning as time gets closer. We are leaving this Thur the 12th for Myrtle Beach if anyone interested in that ride. Leaving Winder between 830 and 9 o clock. all welcome. Making it a straight shot hwy 11 out of Winder catching I20 then straight to I95 N a short distance before getting of toward Myrtle Beach.

Just posted this on the Rides, Trips and Events board and wanted to extend the offer to y'all: I know it may be a little early however, for all of the folks coming up from Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky. Basically, anyone coming up the I-75 corridor. Let me know your itinerary/route you plan on taking for the Homecoming and we can plan on a meeting spot.
Also, I don't have a palatial estate but, I do have some room if you get in the area early Wednesday afternoon evening and need a place to crash for the night. Heck, I might even be able to burn a few burgers on the grill.
Marysville is about 130 miles northwest of where I live and there is a pretty good route to get us direct into Marysville without doing much slab riding.
I plan on leaving Thursday the 28th at 10:00 AM.
PM me or post here and we can start making some plans.

Okay, if anyone is coming up I-75 on Thursday morning (the 28th) here is the plan for a meet and completion of the ride into Marysville:

To meet up on Thursday morning (the 28th) you will be taking I-75 north to I-275 east. At exit 63 you will exit onto SR 32 east towards Batavia. At the first traffic light turn left onto Glen Este - Withamsville Road and turn into the Meijer's store gas station parking lot. It will take you about 1 -1/2 to 1 -3/4 hours to get to this point from Lexington.
I will meet everyone there at say 10:00 AM.
This location is only 1.5 miles from my house so, if anyone needs to we can make a pit stop there before hitting the road for Marysville.
