I recently bought my X in Florida where I'm origionaly from. The rides in TN. are much more scenic and alot less hectic. I'm looking for other X riders to ride with. There are a few H riders that I ride with but I'd rather ride with my own kind!! I live in Monroe County. Anybody out there??

I am normally just over the county line in Blount county. Unfortunately, I am working this winter and part of the spring up in Ohio.
Check out www.tnvalley.com (http://www.tnvalley.com) it is a group called Southern Cruisers that I ride with when ever I can. They are a great group and they ride as much as possible and like myself; refuse to winterize anything.....
We will have to get togather when I return home and have time to ride. If you are interested I could let you know of the weekends that I am home and planning on riding.

Hey there 1HotVtx! I live just south of Etowah. I work 2 weekends a month and have a lot of sports things going on with my son but let me know when you are going to ride and we can try to get together sometime. I ride with some great guys from Georgia and Alabama occasionally so if you see us posting about a ride just chime in.

Welcome to the area!! You are right, you are going to love the riding around here! (My favorite road is the Cherahola Skyway).
I'm in Anderson county, and ride through Monroe county few times a year on the way to the Gap.
In fact, I got a 115mph speeding ticket in Monroe County a couple years ago on my Bandit....that's another story...
Anyway, we (Knox area) riders need to start meeting up for rides this spring!!

Hey! Thanks for all the replies! My schedule is very hectic and can't respond as soon as I would like. I am going Back to Florida on Monday for Hurricane relief duty. I'll be there for about two weeks but my wife is nice enough to start the X while i'm gone just so I can hear it over the phone!!! Tease Tease!! We will be riding this weekend for sure. Should be nice. I just installed a set of Cobra Slash Cuts yesterday and can't wait to hear them. My wife and I are going for a ride somewhere through Tellico Plains. I hear the road we will be taking connects to the Dragon. Has anyone riden this? Heard good and bad. If anyone would like to ride let me know!

You are doing the Cherohala Skyway/Tail of the Dragon loop. It is a great ride. Take a few mins and go to Bald river Falls. It is about 15 miles out of Tellico on the skyway. It is just off the skyway and the falls are next to the road. There are some pictures that were taken during the Hoot with some frends from a shadow club I was a part of prior to the X purchase.

It is well worth the 20 mins we spent off the main road. Hope the ride goes well.

I live in Franklin - just south of Nashville and ride to Maryville some. My cuz and his wife live in Athens. He has a Victory and she rides an 1100 Shadow. Lots of good riding between here and there. I am trying to get a few riders together to ride Natchez Trace. Only 444 miles from Nashville to Natchez Mississippi. I have taken it from Nashville to Tupelo. I want to see the southern half this year.....
BamBam1300 - PM me as we are both in Williamson County...

We're here... we're all around you.... but we're not connected. We seriously need to get some sort of meeting set up to establish some sort of Tn xriders club. Seems like it's 90% Harleys wherever I go. It would be cool to ride with other xers.

Welcome to the board and to the X....beware: General Surgeon has shown that getting a VTX will lead to long rides, loss of extra income (gotta have those pipes, seats, intake, pciii, chrome .....), but it will also decrease you b/p and increase you friends!!!

Hey 1HotVTX, I also live in Monroe County out in Tellico Plains. Maybe we can get together and ride when this cool rainy weather passes. I ride all the known good roads and many of the off beaten track roads that are just as nice. What part of Monroe do you live in?
Blurplex, I think I've seen you around in Etowah. My parents live there and we did too before moving to Tellico. We could get a nice group together some weekend.
I see many people live in the area. Later this year we need to all get together and plan a ride.

I'm in the Hermitage area of east Nashville, definitely give us a shout if you get in this direction.
Have you looked into the Honda Hoot dates, places, etc yet? There's also going to be a VTX bbq at Scarecrow's, you can search his handle and probably come up with some more information. All of this is taking place in your backyard.
