Hello All,
I'm new to the Web site, I had lunch with ‘slipdrag’ today and he turned me on to this site, thanks dude…. Anyway, I wanted to introduce my self, I’m ‘Just Ride’ and I live in Park City and new to the VTX world. I purchased a Silver '04 VTX1300 R in late January '05 and have less then 200 miles on the bike. Too cold in PC to ride !!! But looking forward to more riding as the weather turns warmer.
I also have a GL1800 Goldwing, so not totally new to road bikes.
Hoping to connect up with others who enjoy a day on their bike and not into meetings, club dues and other club crap...
Regards,
Just Ride

You mean you just want to ride, have fun, hang out with some cool people, and generally have a good time? Sounds great! You should try the Idaho X'ers site. I've heard there are great people up there . . . . . .
he, he, he . . . . . Just kiddin', bro! If you've already met Mike, then you know what cool people you'll find here on the site to hang out, and also to ride with. Welcome! I think we'll have a pretty good contingent of riders who are planning on riding together on the Polar Bear Run next month. Stay tuned.

Hey Welcome aboard!!!
200 Miles? Yikes. WilsonDude and Drywallman do 200 miles before breakfast.
Get ready for the PolarBear March 13th. Be a couple thousand bikes. We'll meet you in the Honda Salt Lake Parking lot (24th South State Street, right off I-15 and State Street) around 9:00ish in the morning. Ride will start around 10:00 A.M., Harley of Salt Lake about 3 blocks South of Honda Salt Lake.
We are about as informal as you can get. No club dues, no officers. No yes sir, no sir. We ride, while others in clubs, massage egos and 'talk' about riding.
Goldwings, those are nice bikes too.
:)

I know I already said it at lunch but this really is a good group of riders. I think the only official anything we have is Drywallman is our official Gear head. He even does house calls. I know you were asking me about modifying your stock pipes. I think we had a talk about this a while back but not sure if it was for an 1800 or a 1300. Anyone have any suggestions about knocking the baffles out of a 1300 R.

Hello! I live in Park City also and bought a VTX 1800R last summer and immediately took a 2 week road trip up the California coast. I took my bike in today for new Cobra pipes and some other fun stuff. Good to hear from a rider in Park City! I just found out about this sight today as well from some friends at Summit Honda.

Hello Everyone!
I bought a black 1800R last summer and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I took it on a road trip up the Cali coast and have put over 5k miles on it. Took it in to have new cobra pipes put on it today- gettin' ready for another great summer riding. I would love to hook up with others out there and go for rides!

kdmac and wingnut...WELCOME GUYS!
Hey this is great. The more the merrier. Another Wrencher? Fantastic. Need all the help I can get.
First Big ride is Polar Bear, March 13th. We'll be meeting 9:00 a.m. Honda Salt Lake Parking Lot (2400 South State), unless the weather's bad. Here's the flyer on the ride. http://www.home.earthlink.net/~mkartch1 ... 0Flyer.pdf (http://www.home.earthlink.net/~mkartch1256/2005%20Polar%20Bear%20Flyer.pdf)
Keep your eyes posted on these strings, you never know when a bunch of us our going to head to Delta, Wendover or the Little Sarah Sand Dunes (need to stay in the lower elevations, until it gets warmer). Pretty much dependent upon the weather. I live out in Tooele and usually available for a hookup, if you just want to swing out this way for a quick ride. :) 755-8777 (Salt Lake City number, not long distance).

Hopefuly my leg is better by the 13th so I can go for my first run with you, just had surgary on my knee and now i'm stuck inside with my leg up. It's killing my hearing all the bikes riding by and this nice weather. :x

Do any of them ride? Will they take a "slightly used" dude"? Can they keep a secret? Could any of them stomach bad jokes from kxb44? Any of them like to go fast? Is riding on Sunday's O.K.? Actually I'm hoping that some day I'll be able to talk my wife into riding with me, and owning her own bike would be cool. We'll see :!:

Welcome to the board looks like alot of members are going to be in this riders group. Hey Gideon, What did ya have done to your knee? I got hit by a car in Tucson Az. tore my patella tendon in 2, and it ripped my ACL. Got the tendon fixed (Worst pain in my life), still need the ACL fixed. gonna do that end of March. Done Physical therepy yet? Errr Pain and Torture? Doc said that ACL is much easier than the tendon. Still don't stop me from enjoying the X. would be having brain surgery if I didn't have my helmet on.
Be safe and wear your helmet (Totaly saved my life).
