I just bought a 2002 VTX 1800 retro with 3300 miles in January. It is a beautiful bike, candy red, but the wheels were just a little dull. They weren't corroded or anything, just normal road wear. Over on the 1800 Message Board last night several mentioned how they really liked a polish called White Diamond. So, I went out to the G. I. Bosselman Truck Plaza today and got a bottle. Tonight I put the bike on the lift and spent approx. 1 hour polishing the rims. Wow, that is the best polish that I have ever used! It isn't too hard to apply and it really shines when buffed. I have used quite a few different polishes when I used to be involved with trucking and most were not what they claimed. I don't sell this polish or have anything to gain, but I know how frustating and expensive it gets to try these products. Now if the Nebraska weather will just warm up, we all can get out and ride. Your mileage may vary!

I've got White Diamond and Mother's in the garage, both are great products. I prefer Mother's myself but its mostly because it's a paste which to me is easier to deal with than the liquid White Diamond.

Since you just bought it be sure to go through all the basic mods (grounds, surge fix, desmog if you don't have the stock airbox, etc) Welcome to the 1800 club.. it's a great ride.. 8)
