Looked back to an old post by Lewis (DrywallMan) about meeting up at IHOP on 3100 S. and 5600 W. at 8:00 A.M. on March 13th. Is this still the plan? I'm going out of town this Friday, and won't be back till the 12th, so I thought I'd get this post started. I'm a first timer, so where does the ride start/finish? How far/long is it?

I was going to meet Drywallman at IHop 8:30ish. I've been telling lots of people I know on East/North/South side of Salt Lake to meet 9ish at Honda of Salt Lake Parking Lot. There will be thousands of bikes at the start, so it makes sense to get together beforehand, hard to find people when you see a couple thousand bikes. :)
Every year the Polar Bear starts at a different location. Dealers take turns. This year, it will start at Harley of Salt Lake, which is just down State Street from Honda of Salt Lake.
Where they drive, kind of depends on the weather for the day. They will hand out Maps. Last year, we just meandered all over Salt Lake Valley and Northern Utah County, after leaving from Honda of Salt Lake. Lunch/raffel was at a Park up in Farmington.
Two years before that, the ride went Down to highway 73 and out to Cedar Fort, Stockton, Tooele, and ended up at Saltair for lunch/raffel.
They do a Poker run too. If you pay your $10. No lunch or pin or raffel ticket if you don't pay your $10.
You might give Salt Lake Motorcycle Club a call. You can register the Morning of the event. Ride doesn't leave until 10:30. If you want a Polar Bear Pin for 2005, you should probably have someone pre-register you. I think they have like 1,200 pins. First 1,200 signups get a pin. After that your out of luck.
Is a lot of fun. Lots of wild drivers and maniacs. VTXers will be right at home. Ride isn't that long. Probably at the most 150 miles.
If you get lost, call me. I'll have my cell phone 755-8777.
If it snows, they'll pospone for a week.
I'll post the website AGAIN, of the Polar Bear Flyer  http://www.home.earthlink.net/~mkartch1 ... 0Flyer.pdf (http://www.home.earthlink.net/~mkartch1256/2005%20Polar%20Bear%20Flyer.pdf)

Mark, I hope you're not coming to Cleveland. You'll be depressed it you do. At least the Cavs are looking good. I went to the game tonight and left at half time because of the snow storm.....
