And I still do not have a swingarm, front wheel, bled brakes...
I really hope this is the weekend that finishes the bike - otherwise I will be painting the family room :(

I would already have mine on if it were not for taking on the escalating task of running the wires through them... :? Small setbacks last night have made me a day behind my planned schedule, but I'm pressing on 8)
Tonight... run the right wire bundle through heatshrink (which I need to pick up bigger stuff today) and extend the speedo wires and add bullet unions in the speedo housing. Tomorrow, nothing because I'll be watching my little one while my wife takes a night out with a friend (she deserves it!). Saturday, route the wires, mount stuff up, and see what melts down when I switch on the key  .

Can't wait to see those bars Rob. I'm sure the hassle will be well worth it once those wires are concealed.

It's slow going but getting closer. I'm working on the speedo and tach right now, it will be the most challenging part of the mount. Decided to ride Wendy's bike today... I just couldn't stand letting these nice days go to waste :pepper1:

Yep, I bet its gonna be a great day to ride tomorrow (Saturday). Too bad there isn't anyone to ride with.
Hey Robdogg, how have you been? I have been hibernating since our last ride. Just can't get used to this cold Nebraska weather. What all have you done to the bike since November?

Definitely a great day to ride today or at the very least to be outside with the family.
The only things I did this winter was chrome all the handlebar controls, run the wires through the bars (in progress) and get a new air kit. After seeing your Hurricane I decided that I definitely wanted one. It's on order still though, won't be in until last next week at the earliest. I'm working on my bars again today, looks like I'll have them back on this afternoon or tonight :)
If you or your family are ever out this way (Alvo) you're welcome to stop in anytime. We're on Hwy 63 between the interstate and Eagle.

Hey Cool, Steve and I were going to ride over your way to tease you a bit but we couldn't get a hold of Stacy for directions. I think there is another ride around noonish Sunday, if it doesn't pan out right I might ride out to see the progress.
BTW the wife bought me the V&H pipes and X covers. I want to put them on but I need to order the gaskets and I figured I prob need to do the clutch springs while I have the pipes off. ( It slips in 2nd when in WOT mode) It didn't start until I put the 200 Metz on the back. With your V&H did you put the baffles in or did you leave em out?

My place is easy to find. It's right on Hwy 63 in Alvo, across from the grain elevator. We'll be around most of the afternoon. I think Stacy is out of pocket at the moment according to the last correspondence I had with him.
Good to hear you got some new pipes, I'm not sure what the x covers are though. I tried running the V&H without baffles and couldn't stand the hesitation off idle (loss of low end torque) so I put them back in and order a set of thunder monster baffles from www.bigcitythunder.com (http://www.bigcitythunder.com) . They're as loud as baffless but add backpressure.
Today would be a great day to ride.. little windy but 70's are awesome!
