Hi,
First of all, I got a huge head. I do not want it to look any bigger than it already is, so I've been trying to find helmet which do NOT make your head look like a mushroom?
Tried HJC,Arai, THH open ones but they just don't do their trick for me.
Any suggestions for helmet stores in Sydney? Wouldn't want to order helmet from anywhere, I'd want to try it out first.
Cheers

You could get booked if you're wearing a novelty helmet. My wife and I were riding in Canberra at night and a cop actually turned around and stopped us for it. His words were, "Any reason you're not wearing helmets tonight?" As I looked towards our novelty ones he followed with, "those aren't helmets, those are kids toys."
He was reasonable and let us go with only a warning (he didn't even notice I was on my P's with a pillion and no P plate  ) But we went and got dot helmets the next day. I've got a big head also and just picked up a no name, flat black, open face 3/4 helmet from a harley dealer. I'd try there.

g'day iippo - nice to finally find another X rider in Sydney, welcome to the board, you'll find a lot of interesting people here, most of them are very friendly and helpful.
I have been thinking of getting an open-face helmet too 8) . you could try MCA at Parramatta, I have bought some gloves and Draggin' Jeans there and their prices are pretty good. there is also a store at Wollongong called ZPower - they look to have a lot of good stuff to spend your money on - I haven't been there but I know roughly where it is and have been thinking of taking a Saturday run down there. if you are interested pm me and we can arrange to take a ride down there. their website is www.zpower.com.au (http://www.zpower.com.au) though I can't find helmets on their website - if you can get your hands on Motorcycle Trader magazine and find their ad they list helmets there for under $100 and yes they do have XL.
regarding the big head thing, I've got a mate who rides a Shadow, he is a big unit, and he wears an open-face lid... I think the only way to make a big head look small is to wear a full face! :) either that or wear a bandanna - very cool 8) 8) 8)

rocko69's suggestion of M2R lids is a good one - they are listed in this months Motorcycle Trader magazine for $199 for full face fiberglass composite. try the website:
