Howdy folks,i'm a new owner.I traded in my suzuki 800 on a 1300C yesterday.Just wondering if anyone lived on the eastern shore.I'm near cambridge.

Welcome to the board. Sorry, I don't live on the Eastern Shore, I'm in Columbia. I'm sure you'll find some VTX friends out your way (we're everywhere). Any time you want to cruise out through the rolling hills and horse farms here in Howard County, give me a holler. I haven't riden over on your side of the bay yet, but hopefully sometime this summer.

Anyway, welcome and Happy Riding.

Welcome! I also upgraded from an 800 Suzuki when I bought my 1300R. I love my X!

I'm not near you either. I live in Williamsport, near Hagerstown in western MD. We are coming to OC April 16-18, and I think I'm bringing my bike in tow. Seems to me that Cambridge would be a nice ride from/to OC, maybe we could hook up then. Let me know sometime before then if you are interested.

How did you like your 800 Suzuki? I am looking at a similar sized bike for my wife.

I loved the 800,but it was only good for one person.I tried 2-up on it,but to lite in the back end.If a gust of wind hit you,it sucked.It's got plenty of power though.The 800 will beat the harley 1200 sportster in the 1/4 mile.

Congratulations! I live in Severn, but ride to the shore all the time. I lived in Denton for 14 years and still have family there. Keep an eye on the board. My neighbor ( who also owns a VTX) and I make trips that way and will let you know.
