I've been reading the posts on the Wyoming site and am wondering if any of you guys in Sheridan and Caspar every come down this way. Wyoming has alot of wonderful scenery but it's nice living in Cheyenne and being so close to Estes Park CO and all the mountain towns in Colorado. As far as Wyoming is concerned are there any rides during the summer that go through Cody, Jackson, Yellowstone?

I used to live in Cody, if anyone is interested in doing a 2 day run in the summer, like Sat eve to mon morn, let me know, there are lots of places to ride. Beartooth is the most popular, I like Sunlight Basin, South Fork is pretty but a short trip. Other trips are nice as well.

You can count me in on any and all runs into that area. It's been many years since i've been anywhere near there. I go to Jackson all of the time for work but never on a bike so i'd like to do that as well. I have a friend in Rawlins which works out well because it's a good place to stay, I woundn't want to make the trip from Cheyenne unless I had a good stopping point. My buddy rides a Yamaha Warrior but maybe he could come along as well.

There are a lot of good runs in WY, even a few relatively close to Cheyenne. If you head out to lAramie, then take the road through the snowies to Saratoga it is a really nice ride that could be done easily in a day from your home back around to your home. the way I would do it is when you get to the dead end after you come down off the mountains, turn left towards Encampment, then take the c=southern routew that dips down into CO and comes back around the bottom of the SNowies. this makes a really nice loop ride that will bring you back into Laramie eventually. I would however recommend filling up with Gas before you leave Laramie, and then again in Encampment. That's a bad stretch of road to be in without gas in your tank.

Hello!!! I just noticed you all have a state board.... that's great. I hope all you WYXriders come on down and ride with us sometime. We usually get some pretty good rides together!!!

You may already know - we do up a pretty good 4th or July weekend for VTX riders and we have a great Black Hawk Ride planned for April 16th!!!
Mutt made down and joined us on it last year.

My wife and I and another couple (VTXDoug33) had a Grand Teton / Yellowstone ride planned for last August but had to cancel. We'd like to try for it again, this year.

Hope to see you out there sometime!!!!!! :D

The latest issue of HRCA's Red Rider magazine actually lists the ride from Red Lodge, MT into Yellowstone on US 212 as one of the top 10 rides in the country. I don't have the article in front of me right now, but I've driven on portions of that highways and would vouch that it is some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.
