Hello from yet another new guy from South Jersey

Hi everyone,
I just found this site today, and was extra pleased to see message boards separated by state...a great touch! I just wanted to introduce myself (not that anyone really cares :? )

I'm 46 years old, and purchased my first bike in September of last year...a 2004 Candy Red VTX1300S. I've had my motorcycle license for most of my life, but hadn't been on a bike for close to 20 years! One day I woke up, realized that I wasn't getting any younger (duhhh!), have a daughter starting high school next year...and figured it was about time to realize my long-time dream...own a bike that I'm proud of :D (yes, a "mid-life crisis")

I guess I showed so much enthusiasm each time I rode my bike to work, that I now have 2 co-workers going for their licenses. At least sometime soon I'll have some "riding buddies" to cruise with.

Maybe someday we'll meet out on the road! Happy trails everyone!

Welcome to the club. As mentioned before in other threads, check out the NJ chapter at www.njxriders.com (http://www.njxriders.com) . We have a lot of stuff going on over there with a lot of members.

I live in Browns Mills, and hopefully we can hook up sometime for a ride.

Our first ride of the season as a group is to Sweetwater. Check out the info at the site, and say hello!

Hi Chris, aka clambjr, aka gqsmooth :) Thank you for the warm welcome. Based on what I read on other threads, I had already checked-out NJ XRiders, and from what I've seen, it seems like you're a great group that have a great time together.

Hopefully we'll hook-up sometime in the near future.

Same deal, sold the first bike for an engagement ring, house got robbed - no ring. Decided to start with the bike again.....not selling this one VTX-1300R. Been riding again for almost a month......

I just found this NJ group, have an '03 1800c, work in Moorestown, and live in Mt. Laurel. Anyone know of a decent dyno shop in the area?
