I know its a little bit off but I will be back from Louisiana,what do you guys think about a Nashville,Indiana ride on April 16 ? Hook up at the Speedway gas station between say 11-1200. weather pending. If anyone wants to ride over from the west side we can hook up about 830-900

Sounds great Stick. I got my ABATE of IN magazine last night and Skynrd is playing the Boogie this year. I guess its the 25th one and they wanted something big.
Also, I see that the local Mayor Ride and Bike Show for ABATE in Bloomington is Sunday, May 22nd. They are meeting on 6th street(north side of the square). Registration is from 10-12pm and the Ride is at 12:30. Cost is $12 single/$20 for couple, this includes the Bike Show, Ride and lunch. The destination is the Motorcycle Safety Site(across from GE). There will be six catagories Sportster, Custom, Dresser, Foreign, Antique, Ratt and a Mayor's choice. This will happen rain or shine.
I will be there for that and I can't wait for the 16th.
Hey when you get the date and time ironed out come to the Il. board and post, some of us across the river might be able to make it then too, Has any one tried the CINCO DE MAYO in Lyons yet? Went there today and I think it's better than most Mexican restruants I have tried, no complaints from me.

Just for info, anyone wanting to ride back to Bloomington afterwards for more socializing? I'm trying to hookup with some old friends. Nothing set yet.
I'll be cruising by Crawfordsville to Indy on (I-74) and down Rte 135 if anyone wants to hookup.

Woot. I'll be heading down from the Crawfordsville area. If you're interested in riding some county roads down to Nashville let me know. We could meet up at the Jamestown exit off I-74 (exit 52) and head south. Hook up about 9:30 and we could be in Nashville around 11:30.

yeah rockport there is a big mexican rest we ate at last Sat. if that is cool with everyone.I think they had some "non mexican" on the menu too.

Love Mexican....Im stuck at 200lbs...need to put on a few more pounds. :lol:
Assume the restrurant is in Nashville? It's about a 2-3 hour ride for me, so will have to leave here around 8-9 a.m.

yeah XBox the Speedway gas station is on the main drag in Nashville,cant miss it.

BTW the weather is looking real good for Sat.sunny and near 70 degrees
Just a reminder: The ride leaves the Speedway gas in Nashville at 12:00, after the ride we will meet at Maldonado's ( Mexican Rest) where we can all visit and hassle "weekly" (man his poor wife) :wink:

I got back at 9:30pm. Total of 575 miles, not a bad days ride! Thanks to all for a good time, especially Termite for the scenic tour of Central Indiana.

Some of the other sights seen yesterday.
Besides the great countryside and lakes, we saw;
Sunbathing sweeties
An antique bike with old sidecar....sweet!
A bike at the country club with a golf bag carrier laying crossways on the bike. Man, I'd hate to be riding that!

Sunbathing sweeties!!! I sure did not see that! But being a female I don't quite catch those sights, lol :wink: I was impressed with the Antiuque Cars! They did not slow us down at all.
(This morning when we got up, my hubby went into the garage. He came in and told me that our 9 year old Lab had died. I guess she had a heart attack. She was fine yesterday. My son said she was running along side of him while he was riding his ATV on the farm. We sure are missing her. She, Pepper, was a part of the family.

All the items I mentioned were while taking backroads with Termite.
Don't ya figure those antique cars were driven by white-knuckled drivers trying not to slow us up!! Ha!
Sorry about the dog. They really are part of the family. Each passing tears at your heart. My wife has already told me that when we move, we're taking the dearly-departed ones with us. Gee, wonder who gets the fun job of digging them up?!
