Iron Butt run this summer?

Hey guys, I'm trying to put together an Iron butt run this summer, 1,000 miles in one day, just looking to see if anyone else is interested in testing themselves.

I live in southeast Nebraska, but I could be interested in an Iron Butt Ride out of Cheyenne if we were heading west or north through Wyoming. I'm a former Casperite (I lived there for a total of ten years over two periods of residency), and I love the idea of making part of the trip through Wyoming.

Cheyenne to Vegas is almost 1,000. I've been kinda thinking that route.

Right now it looks as if I am going to be making this ride with at least one other guy here in Casper, and of course the more the merrier. What we are looking at is doing a round trip type of thing, 500 miles out, 500 miles back, just so we don't have to take time off work, but nothigns set in stone as of yet. We will be doing it sometime in July we are about certain of this, but the date will not be set until much closer I guess. When we get thigns more settled, I'll post about it in case anyone wants to join us on the adventure.

I'd like to give it a try, But I would have to know a certain date to get time off. If it was done on a weekend I might be able to con some others into it. Post the date well ahead of time. Isn't there some kind of paperwork that a guy carries? I've had people ask me to sign a slip stating that they were in town at a certain time, so they could prove the run.
