I'd like like that but I'm taking I-20 thru Dallas. The weather looks better taking the southern route. On the way back if the weather cooperates I'll take the northern ride on I-40.
At any rate we'll meet sometime soon. If you're riding down this way give me a holler. I actually live in Edinburg, a little town between Carthage and Philadelphia on Rt 16.

Returned from my Los Angles trip last week and had a wonderful ride. Met lots of new riders along the way and enjoyed the company. It took three days to get there. Coming back I followed the rain but never got wet. I took an extra day just to make sure I didn't.
The only maintenance incident with the VTX was a leaking left fork seal I noticed after reaching my destination. Went to a Stealer that would work on it on a Saturday at the Marina-Del-Rey Honda/Kawasaki and replaced both fork seals. I should have known - the bike had been sitting in the bay at North Jackson Honda for year. They probably dried out from just sitting there. Other than fuel and a much needed oil change I had no problems. Oh, and did I mention that the bike has almost 50,000 miles on it. :P
Sorry, I couldn't make it to Batesville, Cookie Monster, but most of the rain was on the I40 corridor. My wife is starting a work assignment in Tupelo on the 9th of May. I know I'll see sometime after that.
