Is anyone in the great state of Maine interested in starting a Maine VTX Riders Association ? I live in Baldwin (that's southern Maine for you downeasters) . I'm not a very good group organizer, but I would be interested in joining a group of Maine VTX'rs. I noticed that BIGLRY (www.biglry.com (http://www.biglry.com)) is manufacturing some custom brake/clutch fluid resevoir covers, with various State VTX group logos. I'm envious. Maybe its time us Mainers formed a group. Any thoughts or opinions?

Thanks

Check out the sample State Riders custom resevoir covers. Think about it,

Lets keep this post alive. I don't know about anyone else, but during the summer my spare time, and as much quality time as possible, is devoted to riding. Maybe putting together something serious regarding a Maine Riders Association, will have to be done during the long winter season. That is, unless there is a volunteer out there right now, that wants to take it on. Regardless, let's not let this idea fizzle out. There seems to be plenty of us that would like to get together for some day rides with other Maine VTXr's.

Good Idea... its just Maine is such a large state... Like for me being all the way up north and others being 350 miles away, being all the way down at the tip... how can you come up with a place equal enought to meet?

You've got a member in Westbrook where do I sign up? It would be nice to meet up with other people and check out new places to ride. There are a lot more X's on the rode now a days. The misses and I don't have kids every other weekend so we're always taking off when we can. There are a lot of nice rides in Maine and my lady and I are always looking for new places to check out. It would be cool to enjoy them with other riders too. My days are kind of booked until the middle of September because I'm getting hitched on the 3rd and then we're on our honeymoon in the carribean for two weeks but I'll be riding into November like usual. Let me know what's going on.

The Ohio VTX riders divided into sub chapters to deal with the problem of covering a large land area. Members took on the leadership of the different areas by becoming coordinators. I joined the group but as it is I'm the only one in this county so not much happens here.

OK, its getting to be good riding weather and there isn't much activity in here lately ...

Has there been any progress on a Maine VTX Rider's Association? Sounds like we have plenty in the Southern Maine area for a chapter! (I'm in Poland)

Frost heave city in and out of Rangeley. Can't get out of the driveway, still ice & snow!

I live on the southwest corner of Sebago Lake. No snow or ice anywhere. But there is hazordous sand on the back roads, and frost heaves and pot holes everywhere. Even though I would love to get out there, no riding for me until at least mid April. I'm not anxious to crash.

This is the homepage for the Northeast VTX Riders. They are based in Massachusetts. To my knowledge, Maine has not yet rallied to organize a VTX Riders State Group.

How about a Group Ride? I ha d heard that somebody was trying to organize one but it was for Memorial Day Weekend or the weekend after! Is that still a GO? Has the date changed? I just thought that Memorial Day Weekend would be hard, with people having prior commitments! Tom Auburn,MAINE NOT Auburn, Mass.
