Backroads to K.C. ??

Im thinking about heading down to the Easy Rider Show with a few friends from work. What are the the best backroads to take from Lincoln?? And how much more time will it take?? We want to take our time and enjoy the scenery and that wont happen on I-29.

By looking on the map, there are a few different ways. Just wanted some opinions.

Take any road east to HWY 50
Take 50 south as far as it goes
Make a right and head east to HWY75
Take 75 to Topica
Take I70 E to KC.

That is the most reasonable 2 lane route. It will take you between 3 and 4 hours. Closer to 4 than to 3 - especially if you take your time. I take I29 every week becaue I am in a cage and just want to get there. Takes me 3 hours door to door Omaha to Overland Park.

Actually you need to take a Left at the end of Hwy 50 not a right :)

If you go down that way - I could join up instead of taking I-29. Just need to know when and where to meet.

Id like to hook up with all of you guys but this is gonna be a last minute decision on when we can leave. There is gonna be at least 4 of us going and Im not the ring leader this time :D thank god. I will know more Friday. Maybe we will all be leaving around the same time?? (im hoping for 8 or 9am, dont get off work til 7am) And we can hook up at Nebraska City or Syracuse. Let ya guys know.

Andy... If given the choice I'd like to go the most scenic route anyway. I don't know any of those roads though so I'm just counting on everyone else.

I know the roads fairly well and have done HW 75 to Tokeka before It is like all the roads in NE - straight :)
