This is the dual air kit from S&S. Big pipes for lots of air. I'll let you know how it performs next weekend when I am riding again.

With an intake like that, have you considered a custom set of matching pipes. The intake rocks by the way...

SICK  Your bike is looking great, the intake looks much better than German Pete's Proton 4 did it cost the same???? I'm with Heavey on the custom pipes... have you ever check with Arlin Ness... his web site has some very cool pipes.....cougar

I think any custom pipes will need to be just that - really custom. I love Arlen's style but do not think they will fit the X.

I was thinking a set similar to what is on the Pro Street VTX. Your intake has those lines.

I asked around a bit in an attempt to find somebody to one-off a set of pipes, and I couldn't find anybody interested...

Very nice Andy.
Not sure if you can get your bike much better, but I'm all for you to keep trying. :D It is nice to see a local bike that dressed up.
Did that air kit come standard with the pipes blacked out or did you have that done?

Are you going to chrome those pipes, or leave them black?

You should paint them purple to match the bike.

That is an option for next year (winter)

Check out your Wide Open mags.. one of them has a bike (orange) with that intake on it painted to match the bike. It's pretty sweet.
