This is a pretty cool message board but something I don't like about it is after you reply to a message I can't figure out how to quickly go back to the Main Board. I just keep pushing back, back, back untill I get there. Any suggestions? And also I don't know what I've read already, I have to keep going to a post to see if there is anything new there. Maybe I should read everything, but it sure did seem easier just to delete a message after I've read it then I'm sure I didn't miss anything. It sure is nice being blond, everyone just expects you to ask dumb questions.

After you've posted your message, press the
VTXOA / VTXRiders.com Forum Index
Line of text at the top(It's actually a button)
When logging on, get in the habit of first hitting the "view posts since your last visit" button at the top right of the page. This way only the posts that are new since your last visit will show up, or be lit up anyways :D

Ok how about this Pi.

When you first log onto VTXOA main index page, scroll down to the bottom and open up OregonXriders Chapter. When it opens up, any new posts will light up the "icon" next to that individual message thread. This does this automatically for you. So look at the message thread heading, if it's lit up, and it is one that you want to read. Click it open and scroll down to where the new post is. If the message thread icon isn't lit up, that means there are no new posts. If you log on and the "oregonXriders" chapter section is NOT lit up, there have been no new posts since your last log on. You cant delete posts like you can in Yahoo, but maybe this latest info will help. Keep me posted with all your questions Pi, I really am HAPPY to help OK
PS, did you figure out how to "edit" your posts here yet? You can update your Cowboy list when ever ya want

An addition when posting Pi.
VTXOA / VTXRiders.com Forum Index - OregonXriders
at the top of the page is actually 2 buttons. So rather than push the VTXOA / VTXRiders.com Forum Index
side of the button, push the OregonXriders side, that way after you've sumitted your post, it will take you back to OregonXriders rather than the main index page saving you from having to use the dreaded "back" button over and over

This not the greatest pic, but in the main index view (as in pic) the button (the text line "view post since your last visit") Is at the upper right hand corner of the page (right above the gray title bar that goes across the page)(see pic)
When you press this button, it will show you all of the new posts of the board incuding our chapters. If you dont want to view ALL of the new posts, when logging on and getting to the "main index page" (as seen in pic) scroll down to OregonXriders chapter(if it is not lit up, there have been no new posts since your last visit), click and open that up, and any new posts since your last visit will be lit up. Hope this helps.

Pi,

go to shutterfly.com

Set up an account (Use your username and password you use here so you'll never have to remember it.)

upload your photo's

double click on the photo of choice

it opens up and gets bigger

right click on the photo and select "properties"

copy the entire url address

go to either signature section or avatar section (click once to set the spot where you want the pic to go)

scroll up to upper part of page and push the "img" button once

do your paste of your url addy (no spaces)

scroll up and push the img button one more time

I for some reason found it harder to navigate in the bike bikes site, I think you'll find the shutterfly site to be easier to use. Worse case scenario, you could e-me the jpeg pic and I can put it with mine and e-you back the url addy untill you get the posting thing down

PS Sundance needs help too :D

Way to go Pi!!!!

Now we only have 1 slight problem. It's technically too big :(

Now it's not that I care, but what happens is everytime you post, it will scrunch up the meesage side for everyone so they will have to scroll side to side (does that make sense?)
lamonster on the main board would always swoop in and shrink the pic down for people, but you only post here so he might not see it.

4 possible solutions

1) take that same pic unaltered and put it in your signature section instead of the avatar section, then it won't matter

2) send me the pic, and I'll try and cut it down for you (although your so cute, I would hate to shrink the pic) we could also crop the bike out of it and leave just you.

3) tell me to shut up and leave you alone :D

4) You could pm lamonster and ask him to re-size it for you, I'm sure he'd be happy to do it, he's done it for at least a 100 members

Browse around the regular board and you'll see the size best suited for the avatar section.

My vote is leave it the size it is and put in your signature section instead of the avatar section.

Do ya still like me Pi?

wonder what i did wrong? i made it thumbnail size, uploaded it to shutterfly and cut and pasted the location.... but why is it so big and blurry? autumn

I deleted the pic from our profile since it was distorting all the other posts... will try again tomorrow when i'm less medicated...
