Those new horns i put on saved my bacon today. I was on 144th heading towards Pacific just off Dodge. SUV with a Soccer mom decided to come into my lane without looking. Thanks to MSF I was anticipating it. We were coming to a light and there were 3 cars already in the left hand lane. i was in the right with a clear lane with the SUV next to me. I thought this car is going to try and get in this lane so as not to be 4th in line. So I see the wheel start to cross the lines and BAM BAM BAM I hit her with the horn!!!!
She nearly jumped out of her skin. She moved back into her lane and I looked her in the eye as I went by. She gave me the I'm sorry look and I pointed to my eyes and yelled - LOOK NEXT TIME.

Thank God for those HORNS!!! I would have eaten a phone poll or a light poll.

I'm glad you're ok, Andy. Sounds like a close call. I'm looking forward to having my Stebel horn installed to help me in situations like the one you described. Safe Riding!

Gonna have to get me one or two of those horns.

I had someone try to merge me into a concrete lane divider outside of Chicago once. I was on my old Suzuki GS850. I laid on the horn and they never noticed and just keep merging. I had a semi behind me and no median, so I had no where to go. So I did the only thing I could think of. I kicked his door panel as hard as I could without wrecking. It got his attention. He cussed me for the next mile. The semi behind me was so understanding that he got on the guy's a$$ and rode him until he left me alone. That was the only time I have been scared for my life on a bike.

Those horns really would have come in handy!

I took out my baffles, so now EVERYONE can hear me coming. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I get a ticket (or lose my hearing), but it sure is fun.

Threw down about 150 miles yesterday. Awesome riding weather.

I mounted two Flamm hiway blasters in addition to the OEM. Have saved my bacon several times! According to the meter, my bikes horns put out 115db and my p/u puts out 107!!!
Yeehaww!!

I always cover the horn with my left thumb. Also, it is best if bikers just assume that they are invisible. This way you reduce the surprises.
