First DE. VTX ride

Want to get a ride together. What is a good day for everyone? Sundays are usually good for me. I proposed July 10th if that is not good lets come up with another day when the majority can ride.

I just joined tonight and am looking forward to meeting with other VTX riders, and would enjoy riding on a run in july. Mine is an 1800 c pearlesent blue.

Diamond motor sports sounds good. how about rt9 to 295 to 13 to 40 pickup 213 in elkton and back to Dover on 42 and13

I'll tell you a nice area to ride is around the Galena/Chestertown area. 213 is a really nice road to ride.

Galena area is a nice area to ride, I have ridden there several time. Georgtown MD is also nice I use to go boating there and eat at the Grainary Rest.

It is a nice area to ride. The Rock Hall, MD area is near there and has a good restaurant. Also, near the Conowingo Dam, in Conowingo, MD, is the Union Hotel....it is a "biker bar", but next door is the hotel part. It is a great place to eat.

I like from Diamond Motor Sports to rt 9. Another option is to head W. (rt 10) and up 313 towards chestertown. I'm not real good about this kind of thing, so someone please take the lead on this. First one with a plan wins.

Rt 10 to 313 would work. Then grab 291 into Chestertown. Then take 213 from Chestertown to Galena. Maybe taking a quick jump to either Rock Hall or Betterton before that. Once in Galena grab 330 which eventually becomes 42 and goes all the way back to 13 in Cheswold.

We need to be able to eventually have a meet and greet for all .

In my first post on this thread I proposed a July 10th date with little or no negative feedback. If this date does not work, lets pick a date that will. My guess is that not everyone will be able to make whatever date we pick. For now lets stick with July 10th as the tentative date and see what happens.

This is true. And I wasn't implying that the date should be changed. Just I can't do that particular day, or any Sunday for that matter. I'll get in on one eventually.

I've only been riding a little over two years,over 7 thousand miles,but still.I think the person who knows the route the best should lead also.Does anyone know the actuall count of many of us are showing up,or i guess we'll see tomorow.

Think ride went very well. Changed route, went to Union Hotel, Port Deposit Maryland. Steve did a great job as the lead! Sorry I had to turn back on the way home but I left my back pack at the gas station. Had some friends of DE X'er's which I thought was great, the more the better. We'll have to schedule another ride soon.

I had a blast,met some really nice people and that union bar was cool.It was kind of a bummer to see that biker down right before it though.I told my wife about the bar,i'd love to go there again.The route was took was great.Could'nt of asked for better weather.I rode with lyle down to seaford de,i ask his just before i peeled off,when he was getting an ultimate seat.He said next week,lol.C"mon now reb,i know you want to sit on it.I rode with the maryland guys a few weeks ago,but had a much better time with my new delaware friends.Thanks guys for letting me tag along.Can't wait to do it again!
