Hi Xer's , Warm weather at last!!!
Lex and I are planning to do a ride to Ohiopyle this Saturday the 7th. Anyone wanting to join in is welcome. Let me know if you plan on making it. Sorry for the short notice but it just now all came together. We are planning a somewhat indirect route to Ohiopyle and a direct shot home. For any of you that have ridden out east towards Ligonier you know that there are some pretty sweet bike roads out there. Saddle time should be about 2.5-3 hours (not counting stops) from Monroville to Ohiopyle. Start point is: Starbucks at 10:00am in Monroevile on business rt. 22 at the Miracle Mile shopping center. Weather promises to be real nice, should be a great day!

Maybe. Just Maybe. I might be able to get out for a little ride. I would meet up with you where 711 meets 31 near Donegal. I will reply again tomorrow whether I can or not. The wife is not feeling well and I might have to take care of the little one if she doesn't feel better. Will let you know.

Brian, that would be great if we take the shorter route but most likly we will go the green route in which case you could go a little futher down Rt 31 and meet us at Bakersville. Let me know for sure as soon as you can so we can set up a time to meet.

Jim: I am gassed up and ready to go. Don't have a cup holder on the VTX so will need a few extra minutes to drink my coffee on site.
PS Cranberry QS&L was jumping last night when I got there around 7:15 PM. A lot of bikes mostly Harleys. Saw an emerald green 1800C with V&H, a blurpurple 1800 R going out as I was coming in, and a really nice Indian. The sport bike crowd was also well represented.

Ok Lex, Plenty of time for coffee while going over the route.
Yeah, QS&L is pretty much dominated by HarDleys. That's one of the reasons I hope we can have a big VTX night there and make a show of numbers. After all 1-VTX is equal to at least 3- HarDleys!! right?
Should be a great day for the ride!
See at the caffine juction, Starbucks, that is. 10:am

I was wondering if you guys made it. I'm new here but thought that I would ride down to Ohio Pyle and meet you all.. I live in southern PA.. I got down there and it poured rain !! I drove straight past and didn't even look to see if anyone was there. We drove for an hr in the rain. 50 degrees and rain on a motorcycle, what a thrill. I wouldv'e sooner rode in snow.

Yep, we made it! Danced between the rain drops and when we stopped for lunch it poured! The bikes were wet but their riders were dry. The rain stopped and the sky cleared. We wiped off our seats and were on our way. Traveled some beautiful country roads and when we got to Ohiopyle it couldn't have been any nicer. Sun was out with clear blue skys. I guess we got lucky. Sorry we missed you, maybe next time!
