Anyone know if MN allows license plates mounted off to the side and/or mounted vertically? MN has so damn many rules and laws that I'm guessing there's one that says we can't do this.

Thanks,
Rob

Isn't this "the state where absolutely nothing is allowed"?

I have mine off to the side. But when mounted vertical, I believe you can mount it either way (top of plate tward the bike or away from bike).
I've had mine that way for a couple of years now and nobody has said a word to me.

I have mine to the side and vertical and again I have yet to have any isssues.

I don't think it really is an issue as long as it is visible.

One of the parts guys at Heinen & Mason in Osseo is a cop, & told me it's OK either way.

Can any of you post some pics of what your side tags look like? And what brand you chose? Thanks!

Just as a follow-up... I also heard from another X-er who checked with his sheriff's office and was told that side-mount plates are just fine in MN.

Thanks for the help with this.
