Hello, neighbors!

Hello, neighbors to the north! I'm a new X rider (new to motorcycles all together!), but I've been reading these message boards for awhile. I bought my X on the 12th of April and haven't been able to ride much due to the rain. We sure need the moisture though! Anyhow, I thought I would say hi to everyone in spud country. The Nevada board is a bit slow, so I took a look at this board and saw that you guys are a bit more active! I thought I would let you all know that Elko will have its annual gathering again on June 17-19. The website is www.elkomotorcyclejamboree.com (http://www.elkomotorcyclejamboree.com)
I'm looking forward to this year's event for obvious reasons. I hope to meet a few of ya'll from Idaho if you get the chance to come down to Northern Nevada. Hope to see ya there. Ride safe! :D

Enjoy that new X and it is nice to hear from a neighbor. :) I dont think I will make to Elko this year but thanks for the heads up. :wink:

Welcome to the world of motorcycling, you are starting out with a great motorcycle. I go to the Elko rally every year, the only one I missed was the first one. The Elko rally is one of my favorite rallies, it has that small town feel and they realy make you feel welcome. I encourage anyone who has not made the trip to try and make the Elko rally. If you see a beautiifull black 1800 N model with a big bald guy on it, come over and say Hi.

I'll be heading over from Salt Lake. I'm still looking for guys to ride with, but at least I'll be there. I hope to run into fellow VTX riders there.
